If Cowboy gets injured....

When has Cowboy ever pulled out of a fight?
A staph infection pulled him from the Lawler fight but I don't think it was his decision to pull out and the fight was rescheduled for a month later anyways. Besides that never, he always shows up.

Cowboy ain't pulling out. It'd have to be a career ending injury or something that'd sideline him immediately and for at least a year. Cerrone ain't dumb. He ain't headlining a ppv under any other circumstances. This is just about everything he's worked for outside of a title on the line

However RDA would be a very suitable replacement however unlikely

Do you see McGoat taking a replacement or he will wait for Cowboy? And who should be said backup?
LOL depends on which name is mentioned as a replacement and if the UFC can get that fighter to "Job" to Conor like Cowboy is about to.

Gaethje would be the best replacement, but Conor would never take the fight. He wants no part of Masvidal, Gaethje, or Tony Ferguson. They'd end his fighting career
Are you that dumb to not realize that Conor choosing 170p for this fight is to take a tune-up fight before fighting Masvidal at WW?
Both Conor and Cowboy are LWs, that's the only reason for the fight to take place at WW.
Conor can be many things but he is not scared-to a fault- he is crazy enough to fight at WW after a long layoff when most of his career was at 145p

He might take on Pettis or someone with a name but on a similar decline, who knows if even Nate Diaz would want some of that smoke, trilogy fight would sell well anyway.

Gaethje. I don't think Conor would accept it though. He might accept Barboza, Kevin Lee or Raging Al.
Right, Conor who had Aldo pull out and replaced by the best wrestler in the division Chad?
Or had RDA pull out and accepted a lose-lose WW fight with a southpaw on short notice instead?
And had that same rematch right away - again at WW.

You know who refused short notice fights?
Ferguson. Said no to Poirier and to MJ. Funny how this doesn't get mentioned, if that was Conor imagine the backlash.
Bones. Said no to fighting a MW Chael Sonnen causing an entire PPV to get canceled.

PS: Also following your logic why would he accept a fight with Kevin Lee who is his second worst matchup at LW after Khabib but refuse a fight against Gaethje who is a sloppy striker?

Cowboy ain’t pulling out of this fight. He knows he’s gonna crumble first round regardless if he’s healthy or injured.

he’s here for the red panty night and nothing more
Yeah, just like he crumbled against the beating from Nate. Oh wait. B4A43461-DF41-43B5-A920-6FDE711ED6C3.jpeg

and this is why I question this fight.... That's the narrative he and the UFC is spinning on this...but the real reason Conor to took this fight is because he "KNOWS"(read between the lines) he is going to win (and the UFC too)…when he wins, Stevie Wonder can see the fight they are going to make next...let me get this straight, you lose a fight for the 155lb title (and have not won a fight in 3 years)...now you jump up 15 pounds to face a guy that is taller/longer.... and will weighs more on fight night...no fighter would do that unless they "KNEW" something...and believe me something stinks here...if anyone have any money bet the farm on Conor...there is no other "safe" fight for conor to take and justify his ranking....there is reason why Justin Gaethje was not offered the fight...you don't think Justin would have fought Conor at 170? I am certain he would and would have knocked Conor into next week..... Gaethje would not "JOB" to Conor...Cowboy is a "company" man ...That's why he was chosen....AND YEAH I WANT THAT SMOKE

Gaethje would be the perfect guy to replace. But I don't believe Conor would take it, he will probably try to get Edgar, Yes I know fight is at 170, and Edgar is gone to 135 now.. but its Conor lol, he loves them small and always wants Edgar he says

Pettis 100% because he's fighting on the same card. Pettis destroyed Cerrone in the past as well.

Realistically, judging by what Clown Boy chose to come back to, it'd have to be someone like RDA. Big name, past his prime but not 100% shot like BJ Penn. Also a former LW like Cowboy and winnable. Raging Al is a good one. No way in hell he fights Leon, nor should he. Nate should also not take another short notice fight against him. RDA and Quinta sound good. Even Porn-ieey. Gae chee deserves a full camp or a serious title shot fight. None of this short notice bs at 170.

Have to see who on the roster has been out of the gym on vacation or coming off or going into a surgery. And is a good stylistic or size match up vs Conor. The candidate must be UFC friendly also because this outcome has important financial implications. It's a business. Not a sport.

Pettis. Good fight to see where McGregor is really at these days.

LOL. Peoples memories are shit. Conor beats all the folks he beat now he would get career ended by a guy who lost to a fighter Conor made look like a amateur.

I would favor conor over any lw not named Khabib or Ferg. Honestly the Ferg fight I would have pretty even.

Are you sure this is the same Conor? Mendes was out of shape and known not to train between fights. Nate was in Cabo high and drunk. Gaethje is the best fighter in the division outside of Khabib and Tony. Why would Conor want to fight a washed up Cowboy over Gaethje? Answer is he wants the easier fight. This Conor might not be the same Conor we are used to. We will find out very soon.

When was the last time Cowboy ever pulled out of a fight due to injury? Let alone a fight of this magnitude. Oh right... Never!

Cowboy will 100% get injured pre or during fight

Nate will step in on 10 days notice <DCWhoa>
