If Conor McGregor makes sudden comeback who should he fight next?

Because sitting around on his ass for the better part of four years burns any residual favoritism he may have earned. He hasn't won a fight against a fighter ranked above #8 since 2016, so before he gets to fight for a slot in the title pecking order, he needs to show he deserves it. He beat Cerrone, #8 at the time, so now he needs to beat someone ranked higher. It's not going to be Khabib. Justin is next up. Dustin probably earned himself a rematch. Who knows when Tony is going to be ready to fight again, Conor is #4. So that leaves whomever is ranked next higher. Maybe Hooker, when he heals up. Maybe Tony, if he slides back down the rankings any more.

For all the jerking around he's done with the MMA world, he needs to earn his place in the pecking order at lightweight. Other guys there deserve it more. Khabib's not going to just give him a fight, and the other guys ahead of him in the rankings don't need to fight him to earn a shot.
 
One thing is for sure : he’s not fighting until the fans are back into the stands

Conor is a special case and he needs to get either TS, Super Fight or Nate Trilogy because of his performance against Cerrone.
Dana calls him Unicorn because of how unreal talent he is and some casuals even claimed his fight against Cowboy was fixed because Conor looked too good to be real.

Nate trilogy would qualify as a gatekeeper fight, I think.

It’s the same over and over, Conor 2.0, invented shoulder strikes, performance against Cerrone was amazing and even better than his performance against Alvarez that many people like a Chael say is the best performance ever. This isn’t funny, it’s childish and boring. I like a Conor thread as much as the next man but not the same regurgitated shite from this child.

He looked terrible if I'm honest

Cowboy just froze

He looked much sharper against Eddie and khabib

You should rewatch the fight and see if you still think so.
He looked better than ever both physically and performance wise. Reminded of A.Silva vs Forest except better.

Why would Conor duck somebody will never fight again anyway? That fight makes 0% sense.
Had Dustin defeated Khabib for the belt then it would have been the fight to make but never anymore.
