If Charles can beat Islam and Gaethe (no easy task) he has done more than Khabib ever did

Sure but the thing is he won't beat both of them. I hope I'm wrong though.

Khabib has a very mediocre strength of schedule. The combined records of his first dozen fights are all atrocious. Do Bronx spent nearly his entire career in the UFC, its a whole different thing.

Then of course you get into Khabib being one of the most inactive ranked lightweights of all time, certainly of his generation. Take his total number of UFC fights and divide it by the number of years he was in the UFC. Dude never fought.

I think TS is accurate in saying Do Bronx would have the most impressive strength of schedule as champion if he beats JG and Islam. I can't see how that would even be up for dispute.
Very well put, doesn't mean Khabib isn't amazing, but all of that obviously plays a factor when you're comparing his career to others. And then these dudes legitimately believe his lack of activity was not by design (even though Islam did the exact same thing) but it was because everyone was ducking him and I've even seen conspiracy theories that the UFC was trying to bury him lol.

Khabib is more dominant but his first 15 fights were notoriously weak.

If they have the same top wins, then its pretty similar because even though Oliveira has losses, his first fights were a lot stronger.

Khabib was doing two, three of those fights per night.

hypothetical-fantasy-mmamath is saying "Khabib would've had 8 losses fighting the fighters Oliveira has lost to" in an obvious reaching to explain why Oliveira's losses don't count

No.

That's just stupid and nobody said that.

RDA was a great win.

Khabib never lost because he only fought 13 times in the big leagues and only in 3 legit title fights.

Not a chance in hell. Khabib cemented his legacy in a way Oliveria can never do because of his losses. We were just lucky to have watched Khabib

His resume is already as good as Khabibs. If he beats Gaethje, wins over Ferguson, Chandler, Poirier, and Gaethje, all consecutively >>>>> Khabibs resume

My post said "UFC Career." LMAO ya'll suck.
Khabibs UFC career is 13 fights over the course of 8 years

Cerrone fought 31 times in the UFC during that stretch. Thats more than Khabib fought as a professional. Nurmy is overrated as fuck and dipped out the sport earlier than GSP, who has been shit on endlessly for retiring too early

If Oliveria can beat Gaethje & Islam then I wanna see Oliveria vs Usman.

Charles was fighting UFC title contenders when Khabib was crushing cans in the D league.

They're the same age and Charles has over twice as many ufc fights.

Dominance counts, but so does career duration.

Imagine if Conor retired after beating Alvarez, it wouldn’t have given people a complete picture of what a fighter really has inside.

Oliveira has been dropped in all of his title fights. If he gets 4 or 5 title defenses then he surpasses Khabib IMO.

I do think Khabib beats Islam head to head just by being way bigger human being and more aggressive, but Khabib has a thin resume.

If Islam beats Oliveira and Dariush, then I say he has done more than Khabib as is.
If Islam beats those guys, especially Charles, he will have done what Khabib never did- defeat a top-level, truly tough stylistic matchup. Charles represents a unique threat to their style because of his strengths and offensive arsenal both standing and on the ground.

It's harder to smash someone on the ground when they are twisting around crazy locking you up in subs. And surely neither of them would want to duke it out with Charles in the standup, which wouldn't end well for them.

I think he beat Tibau, but was a close fight.

He faced enough good guys to show the level. Poirier, Conor, Gaethje, RDA, Barboza had basically no chance in those fights. If they don't have the next 2 likely won't as well. The dominance.

Charles has faced far more good guys than Khabib has, and he's fought more in general than khabib. He also has more wins than khabib. Basic math suggests that he should have more losses, especially when you consider he was facing guys like prime Edgar, Prime Max, Prime cerrone, Prime Miller etc etc while he was in his low to mid 20's. Imagine Khabib having to face that many high level guys at that age.

No, Khabib has no losses. Charles has a lot of them. The dominance counts. Charles would need to go on some run.

You mean like the run that he's on now?

He's won 10 fights in a row with wins over Poirier, Tony, Lee, Chandler etc. If he beats Justin and Islam then his resume is superior to Khabib's.

He would have to go back and time and not lose 8 times to ever surpass Khabib. He's lost 4 times more fights than Khabib has lost rounds.

and he loses to Justin and Islam.

Khabib's 14th fight was against a debuting fighter and after Charles had already faced Miller (7-1 ufc) and Cowboy

You can't just say he has equal ranked wins so he's equal, win the guy has a shit ton of losses. Being undefeated is what makes khabib the lw goat. Otherwise his resume is just decent. But he DID go undefeated.
