If Bruce Lee didn't die, how tarnished would his legacy be?

I think he would've started to learn BJJ like his good buddy Chuck Norris.

I mean he actually put in BJJ moves into his movies in the 70's with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. That's kind of revolutionary.

Yea that’s him saying after he lost to Rickson he then had a third match against Helio though that was only grappling when he let Norris mount him and still tap him out , he didn’t fight any Gracie in the 80”s …..that’s a false .

You dont know what your talking about , Norris repeadily challenged the Gracie system in the early 90”s . He clearly says after he lost to Rickson he felt like he never trained bf then went on to other Gracie’s but in a grappling manner like Helio bc that was just a demonstration. Your entire story here is just false , mine is actually real ….so ?

If you don’t think I can’t do my own research your obviously wrong , the funny thing is I knew more about the Gracie’s then Ken Shamrock and I was 20 yrs old in community college. Lol

Lol, ya genius.

Interesting topic, I think he was too smart/wise to tarnish his reputation if he lived to be an old man.

It's possible he would have shifted towards motivating the masses of youngsters to have good character and then become some political leader.

People who die young never get the chance to disgrace themselves as they age.

I mean, look at how fondly everyone remembers Kurt Cobain. That would probably be different if he lived long enough to start making crappy music and doing deodorant commercials.

So let's talk about Bruce Lee. If he were still alive, how tarnished would his legacy be?

Would he have continued to do movies into his old age like Jackie Chan? How would he respond to the constant questions about the UFC and how he could've done in it?

Would he be in the expendables movies?

Or would he be selling "Bruce Lee's learn to fight in 14 days" online courses?
Bruce was an intelligent dude. No way he stays a pawn for movie execs. That guy would have grown far beyond being an actor or martial arts guy.

Shit we'd get Lee vs Trump in the presidential race. Using his movies as slogans.

i don't believe you can't do your own research and your idea of "challenge" is yours, I don't believe chuck challenged or was challenged: https://academy.ricksongracie.com/en/posts/chuck-norris-and-jiu-jitsu-by-rickson-gracie

Chuck is always humble when he speaks. I believe what he says simply because he doesn't ever try to make himself look like a badass.

Him and Jean Claude I think tell the truth.

Whereas seagal obviously lies, and I think Michael Jai white and Bruce Lee exaggerated a lot.

Bruce passed in the early 70s,

His career would have started slowing down in the late 70s and he probably would have begin indulging in the cocaine scene, seeing the benefits of the extra boost for pre and post workouts.

His wife would have left him eventually after one of his many cocaine binges. Bruce was really into himself and his body so he probably would have become a serial sexaholic during the cocaine and disco era, he would have been a fantastic dancer at the time.. probably would have ended up hanging out at studio 54 nonstop an OG Party Monster..

In the 80s he would have seen a resurgence of popularity with the rise of breakdancing. Seeing as how Bruce and mma is considered to be one of the foundations of breakdancing. but by then he would have been a shell of himself. He would have been somewhere around the lines of a McGreger of today.

His son Brandon would still be alive, do to being exposed to his fathers fall from grace within the entertainment industry. Vowing to never go into the direction of the entertainment industry.

Brandon would have stayed true to what his mother helped to teach him well Bruce was off on sexual cocaine filled escapades.

Brandon would have helped to found mma and eventually would have opened his own gym..

He'd probably be of those legends that social media exposes as an annoying delusional twat that lives in his own world.

I think he would have had a lull like Mike Tyson then have a comeback later.

Thing is those accusations that he wasn't a real fighter would be a lot more direct and personal today and he likely wouldn't t be able to carry the same mystqique. I'd bet he'd open to Sensei or villain roles though in his older age.

I too wonder if his popularity would have wandered

Who is the biggest star who lived until old age?

Probably end up like Chuck Norris. He'd be in some banger movies, some crap ones, and maybe a mediocre TV spot. You'd see his name on exercise equipment and supplements. But internationally, he'd be famous as fuck. I'd also like to think that his ideas and skills would have continued to evolve.

However, the internet would dig a bunch of stuff up about his past and to a certain degree he'd lose a lot of credibility for some of the unverifiable claims he's made in the past.
Like Chuck Norris is exactly the right answer and that's if he's lucky

Eventually would have been exposed and left doing Seagal level straight to DVD movies.

I think action movie stars of the past generally do really well in regards to maintaining respect into old age.

John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, Jackie Chan, Sean Connery, Arnie, Roger Moore, Harrison Ford, Steve McQueen.... I'm sure there are a ton more.

Most of the guys I just listed probably had a few crap films towards the end of their career, but in general people still love them for their great performances, and don't care if they made a few duds as well.
