Oh I have lived with and grown up with dogs and cats, my mother has one I love to bits.. I just think the relationship we had in the past when they were more a mutual ally rather than owned is far closer to how i'd ideally like them be... I don't think we need to use them as tools anymore(perhaps some do), or should use them as some sort of surrogate baby, imo in an ideal world they are just free and choose to come chill with us... I detest breeders who profit from bringing life into the world when all the rescue centres are basically in an emergency situation with how many they get it, especially now during Covid times!I would also agree with this. I also believe it’s the future of meds to really get your genetic makeup and dose to it. And that includes nutrition. I am not vegan. I have nothing against vegans. I’m open to hear other people’s experience. I also get the religion comparison. Anything that gets preachy can be annoying. Including atheism and omnivores. I appreciate the conversation and perspectives. I do find vegan dog food really weird tho lol. And @Jose Beehive dogs are wonderful creatures who have extraordinary abilities. And adoption is a great way to add what can be an extremely healthy and emotionally fruitful relationship to your life. Cheers, guys. good conversation.
I also feel weird about our genetic splicing and dicing to fit our wants and needs, we have made them domesticated so they are very much our responsibility now, they cannot be free like they once were, same with most of the animals we farm.
