Idaho Murders

Now 5+ weeks and still nothing new on this case. Just went through all the latest news articles and nothing but recycled facts that we already knew. The only lead they seem to have at this point is the white Hyundai Elantra of which there are apparently like 20k in the area. Seems like the local police department is completely clueless.
This was the first thing that came to mind when they said "White Hyundai Elantra"

I'm from southern idaho so if the detectives are as bad as over here, it'll be awhile. Couple brutal unsolved murders near me but they didn't have national attention this one has.

Maybe the zana girls dad … was neighbor or him . He replaced all the locks

An abandoned Nissan here in oregon is being investigated to see if it's possibly the car they are looking for. It was in an accident, someone was staying in it after the accident.

Nissan?

I just saw this article from November 24th about two murders of people being stabbed in their beds.

Sandra Ladd, 71, was found dead in her home in Washougal, Washington, on June 14, 2020, according to Oregon Crime Stoppers. Her death was ruled a homicide after the medical examiner found multiple stab wounds in her torso, Washougal police said at the time.
She was found on the 14th but I can't find information as to when the coroner set the time of death. Seems like she lived alone in her home. Could she have been killed on the 13th.

Reporters at a news briefing Wednesday asked Moscow police about the possible connection between the students’ slayings and a second unsolved stabbing, which left Travis Juetten dead and seriously injured his wife Jamilyn in Oregon.

Authorities say an intruder attacked the couple in their sleep around 3 a.m. on Aug. 13, 2021.

Travis Juetten, 26, fought back but succumbed to his injuries. His wife, who is 26 now, survived 19 stab wounds.

The 4 students were killed November 13th between 3 and 4 AM.

Could the killer be some psycho who is obsessed with the 13th?

How many more unsolved stabbing are there in the area. For all we know, it could be someone who is traveling around the country doing this.

Somebody should have a database on such things.

Law enforcement usually knows more than they let on and I'm sure there's a database for such a thing

I think it’s a serial killer. I think someone who works in that region. That individual planned everything out beforehand and was canvassing the house and knew it was a party house, an environment prime for obfuscating evidence. This individual may not be in a database. I don’t know if this will ever be solved.

How would the person know the best way to enter the home and how to do the murders that efficiently? If they were followed home from the bar and the person or persons just did it on the fly, I doubt it would have been that efficient.

It was probably someone who at least stalked out the home a bit. There were woods right behind the house. He could have spent several days or nights figuring out a plan.

Meh, look how good OJ was at murdering. I assume the person that killed the 4 students has done this before.

I read somewhere that a couple in the same town reported their dog had been killed and skinned two weeks before the murders. May be unconnected, but given a lot of serial killers like to torture and kill animals as well...

Now that's interesting. Washington, Oregon, and now Idaho? All on the 13th day of the month. All stabbings while people slept, and apparently targeted at random (not drug or gang related).

Dramatically different victims, but I’m sure the FBI would be trying to correlate any other similarities.

Wild. Guessing this isn't gonna get solved.

Reminds me, gotta get a pistol. Shotgun is too big for my wife.

Maybe the dog made some noise when it found someone sneaking around.

I'd put good money on that being connected. It's hardly a common event for a dog to be skinned. That almost never happens.

Agreed. I'd also put money on whoever killed these kids doing it again. They won't stop.

I just started playing LA Noire again too. God I love that game.
