Neal sleeps him IMO. Hopefully

Garry looks like a nice kid but he is corny.

I don't like Garry, but hoping he loses to Neal is odd. It's obviously way more interesting for the division, his fans and his haters if he wins.

That said, Geoff Neal gonna take his head off....maybe. People talk about the shots Shavkat took but Shavkat outlanded Neal 2 to 1 in their fight nearly...Neal took a potentially career altering 15 minute asswhooping. This is super smart matchmaking by the UFC timing wise.

Garry is 6'3 tall, he's gonna be taller than pretty much anyone he fights lol is what it is.

Well, he's still fighting predominantly strikers and no wrestlers and none of the guys who come even close to matching his length. It's just a trend I've noticed in his matchmaking.

Pretty big leap from a declining D-Rod to a peak Neal.

Will see if Garry is ready for the elite; seems a tad too soon, needed something a little softer first.

Garry is about to get that big L

That and Garry's length would make things awkward even for a good version of Neal.

Have we seen Neal unable to box his way inside on rangier guys before? I believe Neal has a similar or slightly longer reach than Garry but the way we measure reach in MMA can he misleading. It's an interesting fight, Neal was able to find the longer Shavkat and was looking good vs Holland earlier in their careers until he began to fade in the later half. Neal's also got a great chin, or did...anyways but Shavkat might have cracked it for good. That said, Garry doesn't seem hard to hurt and I think Neal is a lot better on the inside, one of the best straight lefts in the business too which might give Garry trouble even at range.

The Holland fight I wouldn't put too much stock on since it was so long ago and Kevin would go on to lose to Millender shortly after that.

Admittedly I am extrapolating a bit from what I remember from Neal's meeting with Wonderboy, though Ian's defensive lapses do make the fight more compelling since he could very well get caught at any point. Still, I think Garry might actually pull it off even if he leans on point fighting here.

Thats a no joke fight for him and a real test.

Also keep in mind that Neal is going to be like 33 by the time this fight happens. He's still in his prime, ye, but went to war with Shavkat in March. 5 months isn't that long. Sure, he can catch Ian but Ian also can catch him and put him away. People hate Ian so much, their feelings cloud their judgement. Neal lost to Magny not too long ago and went to a decision with a 35 yr old Santiago. Some people thought Santiago won. He looked good against Luque but his fight IQ was nowhere to be found. This is really a close fight.

Neal struggled a lot with magny and wonderboy's range. He literally just followed them walking into punches

Awesome scrap. Pretty decent step up for Garry. Geoff isn't going to let em off easy!

Here's hoping Geoff Neal can leave Ian Garry FROZEN LIKE ELSA

Not much reason to root for that outcome unless you really hate Garry, Garry has top 5 potential and Neal has already peaked out.

Better for the UFC and the division for Garry to keep passing increasingly more difficult challenges, Neal winning give us nothing since he's not going anywhere as a contender.
