Media Ian Garry says he'll put Carlos Prates to sleep, fight for the title with a win

This is an interesting fight. I think Ian is the slicker fighter that has shown more dimensions to his game. But can he deal with the threat on the feet that Prates brings? I think Ian's path to victory is in the clinch but even there not sure he can get it done. One thing for sure the winner should get a big fight or a title eliminator.

Maybe if he can get Prates frustrated enough with his movement and Prates being a young buck might be willing to recklessly try to close the range and that's when it can happen

Garry is a top fighter but he seems like he really believes his own bullshit. He has not been a dominant fighter whatsoever since he has moved up in competition, he's a point fighter, and a very good one. He couldn't even "absolutely manhandle" MVP in grappling or Neil Magny in striking, areas where those opponents are very relatively weak. He seems to be implying that he's still at the point in his career where he's going to get light-years better every fight. I do forget that he's only 27 though.

What the fuck are people bitching about Garry fighting style for? Dudes never been in a bad fight, despite his personal life agendas 😂 (nicest way to call someone a cuck I could think of)
Is there even any evidence of him being a cuck? Everything I've seen points to him changing his name for the kid.

I don’t like Ian but I respect the hell out of him. He really believes what he says and he’s more than willing to back it up.

In an era of cherry picked fights, Ian goes the opposite way and seeks to prove himself against the best and most dangerous and I love that about him. He didn’t get the win against Shavkat but literally nobody else would fight that guy and Ian made him look human. Don’t count out the cuck
