Thankfully we only need to look at Arman being unable to hold down Gamrot and see that it's very unlikely he'll just bag a ton of control time in a possible fight with Topuria.

We've seen Ilia twice at lightweight and both left as many questions as they answered. He can still crack. Good. Can he do it when he's fighting guys who don't gameplan around getting dropped?
Other than that, he's still hittable. He can still be taken down.

I think it's stupid Arman is content waiting around after he missed weight against Islam, if there was any time to be professional that was it. Everyone was so up Khamzat's ass for missing weight against Nate, they made him jump through the ringer to get a titleshot afterwards. And he was undefeated with crazy finishes.

Not sure why there is a double standard for Arman, atleast Khamzat still fought after missing weight. Maybe if he just called out he would of got a WW titleshot.

I'd have no problem with it. He's clearly the #1 contender and makes a lot more sense than #10 Paddy or wildly undeserving Justin on a one fight win streak. Arman is the right guy and history will be better for having him fight for the title.

He also made weight with ZERO fuss last week as a backup, so there is no debate about this weight bullshit. Arman maintains it was a stupid rumor started by Dana, and proved it by getting on the scale a week ago.

I think it is stupid that anyone is taking Dana at his word there. We don't know that he missed weight. We know that he got injured and it made Dana mad. Now, we know that Dana has a fighter he believes will be a star and he is going to protect that investment as much as possible.
