Ulberg is next in line for the title. A loss would hurt Alex's stock at this point and his earning potential for his next fight. Ulberg is a good fighter but doesn't do much for him. He wasn't even interested in the Ankalaev fight but having lost lit a fire in him in the rematch. I think he vacates the title and it sets up Jiri against Ulberg for the vacant title. Next time we see Alex will be at HW against Tom or Jon.



Alex seems to have reinjured his toe too. He said he regretted having such an early comeback last time that happened so I don't think we'll see him fight again until spring/summer 2026. I could be wrong since he said this was the best weight-cut he's had but a little while back he said HW was in his near future with the 205 weight-cuts.
