I see no size advantage whatsoever for Jan

Izzy weighed in at 200.5 with. Sweatpants and flip flops on. So he really probably weighs about 199ish. Jan just dehydrated and cut down to make 205 even.


So you may not think you see a difference, but there is going to be a difference of about 20ish lbs. That’s not gonna create something that looks like David vs. Goliath and it might not even be super noticeable for fans watching. But the fighters will feel it if/when they clinch.

It's in the name of weight class. It's not height & reach class. It's weight class. Jan's bigger muscles and thicker skeleton weigh more. That's what you should look at, not the height and reach, those don't dictate what weight class someone should be in.

If Jan can use that advantage, he might win. If he can't, he's most likely fucked.

Also, Jan only has a 2 inch reach disadvantage and has equal leg reach, so it's not that big of a difference.

Obviously he weighs more, but he doesnt look much bigger. Izzy's head actually looks bigger, his arms are about the same size as Jan's and even the shoulder width is not much different. Jan just has a much thicker core and hips
 
You must be blind, he is clearly bigger than Israel. However, Israel is really strong. People don't seem to realise because he is skinny, but I don't remember him getting outpowered by anyone, even from the clinch.
 
Jan is the bigger guy and there is no two ways about it, easy 20lbs on fight night, height and reach might be close, but size as a whole he is bigger, and wasnt that right after weigh in? thats 200lbs vs 205lbs, it wont show that much on a picture when both guys are tall.

You guys are just fixated on weight, I'm not talking about weight, I could have looked at the scale and seen that Jan is heavier jeez. I'm talking overall size, how they appear. Jones was lighter than most everyone he fought in the cage yet he was always the bigger man. Deontay wilder is incredibly light for his division but appears like a big heavyweight. A lot of lean black fighters are able to have low bodyweight but still look big because of their frames. Floyd Mayweather actually weighed in less than manny on fight night from what I remember

Oh you're one of those height = size people....

Forget about frames entirely, they have nothing to do with size....
 
Similar builds to holloway vs porier at lw. Jan could shock us with his power, but Izzy always had KO power.
 
Must be hard to type on a braille keyboard man. Jan was noticeably bigger, wouldn't be surprised if he has at least 15-20lbs on fight night. Adesanya is a couple inches taller, but Jan has a thicker/wider bone structure and noticeably more muscle. Not that it's an automatic advantage, but he's definitely bigger.

And your one of those weight=size people. You must think dc is a big heavyweight, or RDA was a big welterweight
 
To be fair Jan looks quite deflated at the weigh-in. I expect him to be at 220-225 in the cage.
