I see no size advantage whatsoever for Jan

Adesanya isn't going to be more than maybe 202 lbs while Jan is going to be at least 220. Probably closer to 225-230 I imagine.

I am quite sure Jan will be approx 220 to 225lbs in the cage (we won't exactly know of course, it's not Cali).
The size and power difference should be obvious at fight-time in the cage. And i'm quite sure that Adesanya will look MUCH faster, but.....can he maintain that speed advantage for 5rounds? Don't know. Jan needs to grind on him and drain him.

I think if Adesanya can stay on the outside and pick him apart, for a few rounds, he might work the body enough to make Jan gas in the later rounds. Jan will also be the only one that had to do a weight cut, which is very tough on the body and will be carrying around more weight, so in terms of stamina, that's an advantage for Izzy.

Of course Jan has the size advantage.

Izzy has said he barely cuts to MW let alone LHW.

It's Speed , Reflexes, Timing, Footwork VS Power

And not just any kind of Power but...

POLISH POWER

Did you noticed that Jan’s foot is a balloon? It looked extremely swollen in the weigh in, probably it is broken. Adesanya wins for sure

I'm very interested in seeing how fast izzy looks after a round or two, especially if Jan implements a clinch or grappling approach early on.

Umm, more than ten pounds.

I wasn't sure when that video was taken. Was it taken directly after the weigh-ins? If it was hours later, which I assumed it was, then jan had probably already rhydrated some. That's why I only said he'll re-hydrate another ten pounds or so.

You do realise Jan has cut weight? Let's see what it looks like tonight

yeah I think it would be smart of Jan to adopt a similar approach to what Khabib did versus McGregor and against Gaethje : drag them down to the ground OR clinch up hard against the fence as early as possible and just DRAIN the opponent. Jan has power 100% BUT Adesanya is very very fast. If Jan just is content to have an at-distance kick-boxing fight with Adesanya for 3 rounds, that is simply playing into Adesanya's hands. Jan needs to be smart, and wrestle and grapple and clinch against Adesanya for maybe 2 rounds and tire the guy out somewhat.

And THEN later on ....when Adesanya slows (maybe..) Jan could catch him with big shots OR a submission. I can see Jan subbing Adesanya without too much difficulty. He needs to park his pride, and take the fight where it benefits HIM.

Yeah you're forgetting Jan had no water in his muscles last night

It's embarrassing that Adesanya cut weight to try and make himself appear undersized

Height is not the only marker for size, Jan has a thick physique

Israel hit the scale, eating his way up to 200 pounds. Jan is a massive LHW. The size difference is vast in this fight.
