I miss the good old days

I just recently posted something similar about cookie-cutter fighters. It is what it is. That's why I love watching the rare outliers like Machida, Wonderboy, Whittaker, Enkamp, MVP, Nelson, Daniels etc who have a distinct Karate-based standup style. Sadly, they are all close to retirement and I don't see any firekeepers coming in. :(

There's still a few karate based guys in the standup. Borralho, Ruffy, Icaro Brito out of fighting nerds alone.

I miss the “80s”

But they are never coming back.

Sherbro if you would like to subscribe to my effective trolling course I'm currently offering a 10% discount. This needs work.
I'm so above your level of generic trolling, it's really beneath me to even reply. But I will anyway.

I miss when champs fought the number 1 contender. I hate how favorable matchmaking is getting prioritised. It was one of the few things that MMA did better than boxing. It started getting worse when Conor became champ.

Fighters understood that fignt for the finish, USADA was a terrible choice. The way went about it was idiocy with suspension being a career killer (Killashaw), Reem was the red flag for PEDs, yet he was never punished by USADA, they were to busy promoting Jones the exception…

I love watching the UFC. Sounds like you miss being a child bro, that happens. This is your reality now, you're an adult.

I still enjoy it but it's not what is was.. look at the card last weekend the Main Event had nothing going for it. Before if you win a main event fight you were at most 3 wins away from a title shot

I think the majority of recent title fights have been champ Vs #1 contender tbf.

What time frame are we talking here? Ever since they brought in FNs alongside PPVs I wouldn't say that's always been the case.

You cant expect to maintain your level of enthusiasm for something after it isnt fresh and new before.

There's no way I am going to be as OBSESSED as I was when I first started watching, those earlier years.

But I still love it, and dont "miss" the old days, cos I can watch old events any time I want npw.

People dont seem to realize they get older and change too, they just blame everything else around them instead lol

Fair enough that they eventually happen but it doesn’t happen immediately. As much as I dislike Belal, it took way too long to give him the shot. Same with Merab, we had to see Chito get a shot before him. Aspinall is getting sidelined right now and left in waiting.

Yeah, I think sometimes people jump the line but I don't think it's that regular really.

I also think they probably used to do it a lot but because there were no rankings for years we never noticed.

Sometimes

If we patiently wait with our legs crossed and and our hands clasped, the current UFC will actually put out some great JBG matchups that we all ask for

We just have to patiently wait for through several horrendous cards in the meantime
