I like Joe. But, still... I think Bakole by KO.

First of all,
I was very much looking forward to the Dubois vs Parker fight! As I think we all were.

I was confident Dubois would bust Joe up, not that Parker didn't have a chance or it'd be a walk over like it was v shitty AJ but... I still thought he'd get the job done fairly easily - because when Joe's going on his ass against old slow bang Zhang? V current wrecking ball, 27 yr old, energised, young, hungry, newfound confidence and non-quitterness Dubois? Cmon. He was gonna f him up.

Bakole is a great replacement.

I know Bakole hasn't maybe been training or certainly not to the degree of Parker, so Parker has that benefit...

But,
Still - I think Bakole is too big and too devestating for Joe, and the way he punches, the angles he punches v Joe's defence... I think he's gonna do the job.

Where's my money?

i never bet on fights. my luck is garbage.

im picking Parker by decision

Any cool parlays? Seems like a cool card for a realistic chance of some cool unexpected things happening.

You bet money on this? Maybe go with the more proven fighter that had a full camp next time. Bakole's conditioning & durability have always been questionable. In this fight it was his durability that cost him which is kind of embarrassing because Parker has never knocked out an elite level opponent in his entire career. That said it's heavyweight and Parker has bulked up. He's been doing a lot of S&C lately.

See this is why I don't bet money
Did not expect Parker to knock him out, let alone in the 2nd round

Just before Parker landed that bomb on the top of Bakole's head he landed a right hook that briefly stunned him. Bakole shook it off but his legs buckled. That's when I knew Parker could hurt him.

Yeah it was Bakole by KO..... losing by KO.

Honestly that's one of the worst physiques I've ever seen displayed in a major heavyweight fight. Bakole just doesn't have the frame to carry that kind of weight, all of it seemed to be concentrated in his midsection, which made him look very unbalanced and awkward.

Parker on the other hand looked really solid at 267 pounds. The dude is 30 pounds heavier than when he fought Joshua back in the day, but it barely seemed to affect him. He was always a physically strong guy but maybe now he can also hit hard enough to hurt people.

I get where you're coming from—Dubois seemed like a solid pick for that fight with Parker, especially considering how his power and hunger could have overwhelmed Joe. But with Bakole stepping in, it's a different dynamic. You're right that Bakole’s size and devastating punching power are huge factors. His ability to land clean shots at tricky angles could exploit Parker's defense, which might be a bit leaky under pressure.

As for the betting, if you're confident in Bakole’s chances, it sounds like you're putting your money where your mouth is! It’s a bold pick, but his raw power and size advantage make him a serious threat.
