I just bought a goat

I bought a 27 pound goat from my local Halal butcher.
The farm is from 20 km's away and the meat is amazing!!!

Any thoughts on the price?

$300 butchered and cut whichever way I want.

I told them to omit the head.. dont need it

Tad expensive. Most deer in my area which are 5 to 10x the size are cut and wrapped for 75 to 100$.

Yours is just killed, gutted and skinned for 300 and less than 28lbs of meat (unless you use the bones).

You completely got ripped off.

That’s damn near $10/lb.

You could get a grass fed pastured lamb head off for under $6/lb if you looked.

And some of your money wouldn’t go to support terrorism.

Lamb is much cheaper than goat.

I had some live goats once. They were pretty cool. But I left them at my friends house in the hills and they got eaten by a mountain lion
