I have a hard time seeing DDP beat Chimaev

It's going to be the best fight that can happen at MW. I don't think DDP has some great gas tank like some people in here do, he has explosive bursts late because he has huge heart. We aren't going to see DDP outwork Khamzat I don't think.

People are overlooking adjustments Khamzat has made, in his last fight vs Whittaker he takes a slow methodical pace and controls the whole time. He could've done it for 5 rounds if needed. Not only that if you look at his grappling matches that have gone to decision outside UFC, he can grapple long enough for atleast 3/5 rounds.

It's like when Sherdog doesn't like a fighter that isn't losing, they latch on to the the closest wins and then act like that is only fighter that comes to fight every time. If you listen to the takes here, watch DDP/Brunson, in everyone's head it's as easy as that to beat Khamzat!

I think DDP is going to have to constantly scramble and when Khamzat rests or tests standup a little bit he'll have to get a finish in those moments. Khamzat should be a favorite in this matchup.

I don't know why everyone is so impressed with DDP cardio. It looked good cause Strickland was fighting like he was the main event in a senior's home. DDP was breathing heavy after the second round. He looked good cause Strickland was in sloth mode.

DDP always looks tired, yet he keeps the same pace if not increases his pace as the fight goes on. Chimaev does not have the cardio to keep up with DDP. There's levels to this.

Obviously I might end up needing to order a buffet portion of crow but after that Rob performance, I don't see DDP making it out of the 2nd round. Obviously if he can weather that storm then I heavily favor him winning a decision. DDP does seem to be steadily improving and I was impressed yesterday with the variety of strikes and the fact that his style was less plodding than usual.

Unfortunately we might only see this fight in October given that high profile Daggies prefer fighting in the Daggy ''Kingdom'', and because they seem to have a different gravity over there for scale calibration.

How do you see it going?

I mean, DDP ragdolled Whitaker on the mat too. I get that chimaev looks amazing though.

50/50 but I’m leaning toward Chimaev winning. He looks better every time out. I think he’s found his weight class. I could see DDP getting grappled up but I could also see Chimaev taking one of those head kicks.

Works both ways.

Dricus is also the biggest takedown threat that Chimaev has faced, and one of the bigger submission threats, too, and just flat out the biggest guy physically that Chimaev has faced. I promise DDP will shoot more than once. I will not be surprised at all if dricus can get on top if the fight goes longer.
