I don't mind a Pantoja/Moreno rematch ASAP

As long as it happens this year and so it doesn't clog the division until next year I'm fine. The fight was entertaining and I'm not sure there even is a fight as interesting to make right now. First of all for people complaining about rematches, the other fights are rematches too?

Royval ? Well it's a rematch too because they both already beat him

Kai Kara ? Also a rematch and they also both already beat him

Figueiredo is moving up to fight Cruz, and Albazi didn't have a great showing IMO, he needs one more win to build himself up.

Now I don't care that Pantoja and Moreno fought 2 times 7 years ago when they were both green. I care that they are the two best at FLW right now and that they put on a hell of a show.

The fact that we had 4 Figgy/Moreno fights shouldn't clog our judment about this fight.

Personally I scored it 48-47 in favor of Pantoja, but it was close. Moreno was a little bit superior in striking, Pantoja was superior in the grappling exchange. Rematch makes sense.

Stop complaining about rematches when they mean we get great fights. There is no better title fight to book at FLW right now. So book it
 
I'm so sick of these rematches, and as for Moreno, what can you say? The guy gets the belt and then can't hold on to it. Both he and Pantoja need time off anyways. Have a title eliminator between Royval and Albazi, and then the winner gets a shot in the first quarter of 2024.
 
"Poor showing" in a win shouldn't disclude someone from a title shot, the top measure of winningest fighter.

Albazi is on a 6 fight win streak, is 5-0 in the UFC, and the last win on his record was over #3 KKF.

Give him the shot, and see if Moreno can be scheduled in a rematch against Royval

This would be the best option. I wouldn't want to see Pantoja sit out, but if he's gotta, Albazi-Royval is a perfect eliminator

I absolutely agree with you but only if the fighter won fair and square. I don't think Albazi should have gotten the nod over Kai Kara, that was poor reffing and poor judging. Belal, Dariush, those two guys deserved a TS. Albazi not so much because of afformentionned reasons
 
fw has a handful of fighters so i guess moreno is becoming a thug rose

A broken hand takes 5 to 6 weeks to heal from. Moreno can fight in December just fight. IMO Albazi and Royval do not deserve the shor over Moreno next because Albazi shouldn't have won his last fight and Royval lost to both Pantoja and Moreno not too long ago.

Make the final Pantoja/Moreno fight in december and put Royval/Albazi on the same card for #1 contender. We get a cool title fight and the end of the saga and a real deserving #1 contender for the spring. That keeps the division moving
 
Royval all day.
It was a close fight with no controversy. Enough of the gd immediate rematches.
Moreno can fight Albazi as a main event of a fight night to determine next.
Manel Kape vs KKF can produce another contender.
 
I do. Moreno has had more than enough title opportunities. Time for the division to progress a little bit or it’s going to end up like the top of LW
 
Gotta take into account Moreno is now 0-3 against him. Flyweight is going through a golden age right now. Remember LHW pre-Jones where we kept getting new matchups and new champions? There's absolutely no reason to bog this era down by having the same guys fight for the title over and over. Completely unnecessary.
 
Don't people have sympathy for the fighters? These guys only have so many fights and to waste it training and fighting the same dude has got to be just kinda meh at some point.
 
honestly, even though Moreno was a victim of circumstance with Figgy i think the constant rematching has worn everyone out. Let him heal and give Pantoja someone else.
