I don't mind a Pantoja/Moreno rematch ASAP

A broken hand takes 5 to 6 weeks to heal from. Moreno can fight in December just fight. IMO Albazi and Royval do not deserve the shor over Moreno next because Albazi shouldn't have won his last fight and Royval lost to both Pantoja and Moreno not too long ago.

Make the final Pantoja/Moreno fight in december and put Royval/Albazi on the same card for #1 contender. We get a cool title fight and the end of the saga and a real deserving #1 contender for the spring. That keeps the division moving
I'm not saying either Royval or Albazi deserve it right now either, hence why I suggested the title eliminator.

Regarding the timeline though, I'm not talking about time needed to recover from a hand injury. I'm talking time off to recover from the career-shortening amount of brain trauma that both guys received the other night. You have to space it out intelligently, particularly in the case of Moreno. The guy's taken so much damage in the past few years. There's no need to squeeze another title fight in before a Royval/Albazi winner is determined.

That's good, bc if these guys are healthy the UFC is gonna tack that fight onto the free MID card in September.

That sounds good and all but it's NOT any kind of rematch.

It would be a FOURTH fight with Moreno being down 3-0. Pantoja has beaten Moreno at every stage of Moreno's career. It's over for now. We don't need to see Max ever fight Volk again either.

There are options for Pantoja. Albazi may have gotten a controversial decision but he deserves a shot. Kape actually deserves another fight with Pantoja more than Royval and Moreno both.

I do mind. I hate undeserved rematches and immediate rematches are undeserved 99% of the time.

Bad move for Moreno. A 3rd match against a guy who has his number.

what happens if moreno wins the next one ? do we have them do a best of 7 series lol.

This is the only scenario TS needs to consider to realize what a monumentally stupid idea this is. The division was already held up for 3 years by the same 2 fighters and now he wants to introduce the possibility of it being held up even further, when there are multiple contenders available. Featherweight is in its golden age and he wants to ruin it with endless rematches.

Disgusting.

How many times can one man lose a title in a 3 year time period before we move on?
He also got it back tho, his fights are alright, even if we dont like rematches, i dont, but this one feels like it could use an immediate rematch.

Kape actually deserves another fight with Pantoja more than Royval and Moreno both.
Oh well now that I definitely disagree with. Since losing to Pants, Kape dropped a decision to Nicolau, then beat Osbourne, Zhumagulov, and #8 Dvorak with 2 finishes and a weight miss.
Since losing to Alex, Royval beat #7 Bontorin, #9 Schnell, and #5 Nicolau with 2 finishes and bonuses.

Enough with the senseless immediate rematches… Moreno is already 0-3 against Pantoja and completely stopped fighting in that 5th round. He’s already accepted that Pantoja is his superior.
