With the new storm coming in its going to have a major impact on relief and efforts to help those already in dire situations. Bought a generator after that one and a window banger AC unit. We turn the master bedroom into the living area for all. Air mattresses for the kids and I run an extension cord to the refrigerator.
Some subdivisions in Florida are burying the power lines so they don’t lose power

We usually have a week or so without power every 3 or 4 winters up here in Maine. Hurricanes usually don't hit us too hard, with the exception of last year, but blizzards do.

edit- maybe off topic but thats what concerns me about the rush to ban fossil fuels.
