How would you compare Carpenter with Kubrick as directors?

Russels side kick is lame and not even a martial artist. They should have went all the way and hired a legit martial artist and really expanded on him kicking ass. Now they had to cheat everything and hide the fact that it wasnt Dennis. Could have used Simon or Philip Rhee. The movie would have been awesome.
The martial arts content was cut short from the fact that they didnt get a legit guy.

What a ridiculous thing to zero in on and complain about. The movie was great and is universally adored, but I respect the fact that you have an opinion I guess.

His side kick was lame. he was a decent actor but zero star power.
