I can't trust Bader to not shit the bed. He showed some good heart and conditioning tonight, but still, I think all the top heavies put his lights out.
He was undefeated before the Jones fight, but Jones clowned him. He literally leapfrogged over him once and then took him down. Bader was a pretty solid LHW gatekeeper in the UFC but nothing more--the same was true of Phil Davis. Bader was finished 5 times in the UFC. If he came back at age 38 and fought even bigger guys at HW, it wouldn't go very well for him.He was undefeated in that division wasn't he? I remember watching him vs Jones when they were both undefeated at the time. Bader is a good fighter, Jones is on another level.
Very true.Rumble, Glover, Machida, and Tito all beat him.
So barely/fringe Top 10. Fair enough. A few of those guys you have him beating would have a puncher's chance, though. It only takes one haymaker from a 240-50 pound guy with reasonably heavy hands to put someone like Bader to sleep.Loses to Francis

Eh, neither he nor Mousasi avenged their fights with Machida. They both fought a 40+ year old Lyoto (whose karate style doesn't age well) in pointless rematches. It's almost as bad as Tito "avenging" his losses vs. Chuck.Very true.
But he did avenge that loss to Machida and Tito got a touch lucky with that win.
Not saying he was the goat or anything. I just see him as a #4 or 5 and if he got lucky, could pull a Bisping and get a belt. Maybe even one defense if he got extra lucky. He has a lot of wins and a few good ones.
Tai Tuivasa got wrestlefucked by Sergey Spivak like less then a year ago...... I'm sorry but what?Dude holds the belt in Bellator but I could see him losing to the top 15 easily in the UFC. I think Tuivasa would KO him.
He was beating Kongo then the poke happened.
I think Tuivasa would KO him.
Nothing. We're not "shills." We simply have general and MMA IQs above 70 and don't buy garbage about a UFC LHW who was cut 6 years ago coming back and winning the UFC HW belt (or even coming close to doing so). You can chase such fantasies in the Worldwide forums if you'd like, though. What's with all UFC shills tonight?
He wasn't even top 5 at LHW when he was in his primetop 10 @ HW
top 5 @ LHW
If he got lucky, he might even be able to hold the lhw strap for a minute with Jones gone.

When the hell was Bader ever winning a UFC belt? He always lost to the top LHWs, and he was never beating Stipe or DCLHW is better than HW given the level of athlete HW has in MMA. A few years ago he could have won the UFC belt IMO. Now I don't think he would.

The UFC HW belt. I think he could have.
