He’s a pretty insightful dude when’s he’s on the desk and doing post fight pressers. His speaking voice doesn’t sound horrible he should probably get a shot at some point
Yes.

they already have their token black commentator in DC
IDK but I would like to see him replace Cruz.
I would like to see anyone replace Cruz.
Fuck Cruz.
I don't like his fighting style and I think he is the most overrated fighter in MMA who was at the right place at the right time. Somehow I still respect his career. Why do you hate Cruz out of interest?
I really like him as a commentator, I find him quite robotic but I like that he just breaks things down, never really noticed him to have a major bias but I could be wrong
I think Smith would be good to answer OP, I think there's a fair few fighters who would do a great job to be honest
What I mean is, there seems to be a bunch of guys employed who are mediocre but not Tito level. I don’t see Smith as being an upgrade really.Yeah the current commentary is quite fine as long as you watch the events in mute.

As a commentator I think he is terrible. He is constantly trying to correct the other guys and is cringy as fuck. He is a pretentious manlet with a huge small dick complex.
Dude shows zero emotion whatsoever. Hard to get hyped listening to that robotic little shit.
Yup, this. Dom has brought some high level stuff many times where I was like damn I had no idea. We'll have to agree to disagree on both of your points there
The commentators don't hype the fight for me in the slightest, I like them breaking down what technical moves and mistakes fighters are doing, what they need to do to escspe positions or lock in subs etc which is why I rate Dom. But as I said each to their own playa
I bet he could be good if he worked at it. He's frank and well spoken and has a ton of knowledge and pedigree. I think he said it was harder because of the prep necessary. Seems like it'd be more like preparing for a test, where you know what might come up, and can memorize a bunch of shit, but you're not sure how much of it you'll need. Doing the desk work is a bit more like doing a presentation I'd guess. You know what's expected, can prepare exactly what you want to say, however briefly, as opposed to six consecutive hours of improvising, where you just have to trust that your due diligence will keep you with proverbial "bullets in the gun."Just finished watching his post fight interview and he said that doing live commentary would be ten times harder than his work at desk but I think he would be much better than DC or Cruz.
How do you think he would do?
