How shot is Michael Chandler?

Yeh, I think a lot of it now is that even he accepts he has almost no cardio.

He relies purely on being explosive. He has fuck all skill. But at his age he just doesn't have the energy to be explosive for any meaningful amount of time now. Like it was 1.5 mins and he was done against Paddy lol. And you watch his Dustin and Gaethje fights, he was in the fight for longer purely because the cardio was a bit better back then and allowed him to stick around longer. Once it fell apart in those fights though he just got smashed as usual.

He's a bum lol.

To his credit, even in ass-beatings his fights are very entertaining. If he wasn’t so insufferable outside of fighting (and also cheating inside of fighting) it would be easy to be a fan despite the losses.

Chandler was past his fighting prime even in his title shot against Oliveira, which was an excellent fight.

He's had a great and fun UFC career but it's over. No point in keeping him in the UFC when he's clearly not even top 15 material at all. Just release him and Dariush. They're done.

because that's what we've all seen in all his ufc fights where he lost (except vs olives)?

most non meme fighters would take the easiest way to victory even if its super boring (ala belal or strickland). mma is mature enough that we've seen enough fighters that fight to entertain or collecting a paycheck, with winning as happy coincidences. at this point, chandler is one.
Man I strongly disagree. I highly doubt Chandler considers himself a “meme fighter”, and I’m sure he wants to win as badly as anyone. Like I said I think he fights the way he does because it’s his best path to victory. I mean what other choice does he have? He’s not going to point fight guys from the outside, he’s a decent wrestler but he’s not good enough to keep people down for an entire fight. He’s not making some conscious decision to sacrifice wins for unnecessary damage.

Still good enough to whoop Conor.

Maybe not good enough for the top 10 anymore.

Chandler is THE most overpaid UNDER-achieving fighter in the UFC.

Pretty shot.

I hope he gets a few bums to KO on his way out.

He was exciting when he arrived in the UFC.

But he has a limited skill set and was old already.

But he's fun.

Super shot. He's had some very good fights in the ufc but little actual success.

Granny panty night is hilarious.
You say that now.

And sure... on paper, it sounds like fun.

It's definitely not a BAD way to spend a Saturday night

you get there and the reality of the situation sets in.

You think... <Fedor23>

maybe experience can pick up the slack where youth has faded away.

it's not the same <cruzshake>

but hey what the fuck...
15 minutes.. 25 tops

Maybe you get lucky and the finish comes
Every warrior wants to believe that there is ONE more moment of battlefield glory

Honestly, if Conor hadn't completely nosedived after Mayweather in cocaine, alcohol and who knows what else, I'd probably favor him over Chander. But no one knows what kind of state Conor is in right now. And to his credit, Chandler always stays in shape and takes care of himself.

Who can he KO now? Maybe Jim Miller or Clay Guida if they're still on the roster?

No fight IQ... lame callouts... got cucked by Conor

But overall a good dude, should adopt another kid in Africa while he waits for Conor

Chandler looked noitcably less explosive than he normally does against paddy. Distance closing didn't seem to be as rapid. Usually he's fast enough to close distance and land his right hand. And given we saw how hittable Paddy was vs Gaethje that it probably wasn't supreme defense and footwork that was making it hard for chandler to land.

different take is all, good enough for me.
