How safe is PayPal?

I second the post saying have him send the money as a gift if you're going to use paypal. Situation could be legit, but could be fraud as well.

he says his customer rating on PayPal is 90%. sounds good but i would think it wouldnt be hard to get a good rating by doing a a bunch of small transactions among friends to get a good rating. having a good rating doesnt mean shit imo

I sometimes research buyers and sellers (if I have there name) by Googling them

but I just take a good look through there ebay feedback, left and received and things they have bought and sold

I'm selling my holiday trailer and have a buyer. He wants to pay using PayPal. Is PayPal bullet proof?

Nothing is bullet proof when it comes to online buying.
