I have enough money so my woman doesn't have to work and can focus on kids and obtaining her education.

We live a modest lifestyle, but it's doable.

My mother didn't have such luxury.

I'm proud of that, not gonna lie.

Yup. I dont make a lot but my wife hasn't been back to work since our 2 year old was born. We've had one more kid since then and we're doing fine money wise although I do need to step it up a bit.

Yeah.. and that's riga on top of it.. i suspect you'd pay less out of the capitol..

What do you do?

By trade I'm a welder, but right now I work in a car repair shop.

In the town I'm living in now , the rents go as low as 50 euros/month, those are houses built in the time of the russian empire, more than 100 years old, no indoor plumbing and other extras. Basically only a roof over your head and nothing else. A real hell during winter. There are proper apartment buildings with Riga prices here too, but yeah. Even bums can afford a place to stay and not bother people on the streets.

I make 40k but I live overseas where the $, €, £, arent used so it is good $. Also I am richer in spirit, love and God than almost everyone on earth so I am content!

I find those numbers to be quite interesting. So much for the "sherdoggers are a bunch of basement dwelling incels" crap. If accurate, it would certainly suggest we skew towards the upper end of the income scale.

14.3% over 305k... I wonder how accurate that actually is?

Bout 170-180

130-140 in pocket after business expenses

It’s definitely just people fucking around since it’s the highest bracket.

Its not at all. Just like everyone is over 6ft and benches 275. The only folks I tend to believe are the self depreciating ones. The guys that claim they never get laid are being honest, same with the broke ones.

What a coincidence.

Monthly rent of my parents flat in Riga is 250 euros/month.

It's in a shady neighbourhood, but still...

What makes it shady? Here its called the projects. Low income apartment complexes that have mostly poor minorities. High crime, vandalism, drugs, and no respect for the property. They are given to them by the government for peanuts. Jay Z, Nas, Biggie, all grew up in them.

71 000, after taxes is average in Canada? Bullshit. Mid to high 50s before taxes. 70 000s could be for a household though.

Edit: derp. Note to self: don't post before having a coffee
