How much heavier than Helio was Kimura really? And Kimura lied about Waldemar Santana?

Did kimura lie about santanas size? Yes or no?

As I said in this thread before. Its unclear. Even Jiu-Jitsu sources have him listed in places at close to the weight Kimura stated.

So jiu jitsu sources are lieing about kimura but not about santana?

Look at santan vs carlson. Santana is nowhere the size kimura claims.

What are you talking about? I'm saying its unclear his weight because even Jiu-Jitsu sources have him listed at similar weight as Kimuras account. Also if you actually read, that picture with Carlson was around 10 years before his match with Kimura and the match with CArlson like 5 years.... plenty of time to put on size. So no i don't think you have proven that Santana wasn't around 200 pounds like many sources have him listed during his fight with Kimura.

Also as I stated before, its not like I'm straight up saying that Kimura didn't exaggerate. He was doing pro wrestling at the time, it was pretty much part of his job. My point is that it hasn't been proven that he was totally wrong.

Not sure why folks are still posting unironically in this troll thread. FFS both Helio and Kimura were 42 when they fought Santana, who was 26 and 30 at the time. In the 1972 clip below of his fight with Ivan Gomes (when Santana would have been 42/43), he looks smaller than Gomes but much larger than in the OP photo. Wikipedia has Gomes at 246 lbs and bjjheroes just lists him as "openweight."

How big was Santana when he fought Helio and Kimura? IDGAF because all of them accepted open weight matches with each other.

Both my younger brother and I rolled with Helio a few years before he passed. My brother weighed 135lbs at the time and they joked about being in the same weight class.

I will say though is that even in his late 80's he was strong as fuck. He put me in a head arm triangle and I didn't tap right away and my neck popped twice.
