Around $20k, just started saving $1k a week this year though so ot should build up quickly.

35k in liquid cash (it's actually sitting in my checking account, so I should probably put it into play). Can't really say I have the ability to just pull it out and use it on a whim, it's my emergency fund in the event I cripple myself/lose my job, but it just happens to be in a cash account (as opposed to savings).

Physical cash: I have about $22 between my wallet and what's scattered on my desk.

I ask if the 10K on a wedding is a good investment. I'm not saying your lady friend isn't worth marrying. But it's money in the garbage.
 
That's only a fourth of the cost of the wedding...my girl and her pops are covering the rest.
And yes its a terrible waste of money.,id go to court house if it were up to me, then throw a party.
She makes about 50k more per year than me atm.
 
I always sit on cash so I can take advantage of economic down turns. Made a killing buying stock in financial and credit institutions in 2008 and now im buying distressed properties.

A 401k or ira is for the birds.

Tell me about it dude! Old siding was that pressboard bullshit that cracks and swells up if you don't keep a perfect coat of paint on it. Whoever came up with that stuff should be shot.

They have their places imo....particularly if you're getting matched. Definitely shouldn't be the only iron in the fire though.
 
I never had more than about $20 cash on me at any given time.
 
About 10k, it's just sitting there.
