My guess would be it was a combination of Izzy looking past Sean and perhaps also having geared his training to countering Alex.

His lead offence in that fight was so slow and telegraphed, seemed like he was just throwing it out trying to bait Strickland into getting over aggressive.

Izzy was rocked and never got a chance to recover. I don't think it's mental besides Izzy being passive to start fights. If Strickland doesn't land hard in the beginning would be an interesting fight.

This. Izzy literally said the fight was like a bad dream not a nightmare but one where he just had noodle arms. He did not in a million years expect as a counter puncher to have Sean walk him down and exhaust him and not land one great punch or knock down moment nor did the rest of us.

I truly think Izzy is mentally done after that. Not saying he wont win one more fight then retire but another run seems unlikely. Seemed like he overcame after the Alex win only to get owned by Sean
