How many fighters better than Ronda actually existed in WMMA history?

Actually no on the first line, I don't have a dog in this fight and just disagree on the rest. All MMAth aside, I think the top level WMMA fighters of today are just better than Ronda.

That just sounds like a yes, considering what I gave is statistics.

If you don't like her, that's fine. You don't have to.

You can "disagree" somehow, but Honda did flatline three of Amanda's losses in a minute.

Amanda and Honda both had 12 consecutive wins in their runs.

The thing is, Nunes's run shouldn't be 12, though, considering she lost to Val in the rematch.

Nunes still has a decent argument for GOAT.

I have it as Val, who has beaten everyone she's ever fought.

Congratulations on sharing that opinion you are so sure of yourself on; I see that you find it gratifying. As far as being willing to debate you on Ronda, I'm sure you will find someone that will be more than happy to, it just won't be me.

Amanda Nunes
Valentina Shevchenko
Weili Zhang
Joanna Jedrzejczyk

These are the only ones I count.

Ronda is still a once ever tho.

Yes, and Amanda threw her off so easily it was a joke, watch it again.

Her TDs may be on a different level at the Olympics, but not in MMA.

Didn't you notice that once WMMA fighters started to have TD defense, she started getting smashed? She didn't have a prayer at getting them down and couldn't last long enough on the feet to wear them down for later in the fight.

We only had two fights to go on dude. Head and arm throws still work now in WMMA. If you're telling me Ronda can't throw Irene Aldana then you're wrong.

Cyborg shouldn't even be mentioned with any of those fighters

She fought in a non existent terrible weight class her whole career and fought nobodies, the 1st time she fight someone good she was finished in a round

If you take any of those fighters who competed at 135, and match them up vs anyone on Cyborg's resume, they would look just as if not more dominate than she did.

Ronda relied on fighting undersized fighters as well in the beginning. Holly was the first pretty big girl she fought and she couldn't take her down.

Come on- they were kind of 2 relevant examples, not just "fights to go on," and the results reeked of finality; kind of hard to say they got lucky. Ronda was utterly helpless in those fights, and her striking was non-existent. As far as who she could or couldn't take down, that's a long debate. Could Ronda function as well with her overall skillset as the top WMMA fighters after her? No way. Ronda was like a wounded duck in those fights. Kind of hard to win these days with zero striking and limited TDs.

Ronda had a really weird career, I never know where to place her... any type of GOAT discussion gets really dumb after the obvious picks (Val, Nunes)

I do think Ronda was a truly special talent who could've been up there with Val and Nunes if she wasn't such an egotistical, moron

Imagine what she could've done if she trained with competent coaches and didn't instantly quit/have a mental breakdown after one loss

Ronda then beats Raquel Pennington now, I'm very confident of that

I'm not sure how Holly is ranked lower than Ronda by TS since she finished her in a head-to-head fight. Maybe it's a "styles make fights" thing since Holm later lost to the same Meish Tate that Ronda beat. But I think everyone else Holm lost to would probably beat Ronda as well. I'd at least put the in the same category.
Another fighter who both faced was Correia... Definitely Ronda beated her much more easily (while Ronda KOed Correia in 34 seconds Holly took 11 minutes and landed only four more blows than Correia). I'm not sure if Holly would have beat Cat Zingano or Macmann, but if she did for sure it wouldn't even near of easy as Ronda finish them

I think hardocre fans understimate a lot Ronda cause only TWO fights. It's not like there are a bunch of wellrounded fihgters nowadays, almost every ranked has some big hole in her game. Tatiana Suarez, Kayla, Blanchfield.... all of them has poor striking and they are considered elite by any fan.

So Ronda is better than Holm, even though she got annihilated by Him, and Nunes is only "arguably better" after she wrecked Ronda in under a minute?

TS is fucking stupid. Goddamn.

I respect the pioneers within MMA. I don't see Rhonda in that light. She opened up WMMA to a wider audience because she was a female in a male dominated sport. That is cool, really it is. However, her overall technical skill level, not power or strength, was light years behind the men. For me, Rhonda was a right time, right place fighter for a gender. Cool, but I don't really care because she was terrible and WMMA was, and still is to a lesser degree, terrible. A giant giant who cares.

Why do you think JJ was a better fighter than Rose? Same striking level in MMA and Rose is a better grappling

Rose is better in grappling which is why she got beaten twice by Esparza, who is a wrestler/grappler. I like your logic there.

Oh yes, got annihilated by a fighter once make this fighter automatically better........
Dricus is better than Israel and Whittaker by this brilliant logic

By your logic you would to say Holly is a better grappler than Tate after beating Ronda lol
