Dana's Contender Series 2025 thread

My bets:
Amru Magomedov, Chopurov, Khabib Nabiev
Luke Riley, small Hardwick, Paddy McCorry, Leblond or the Jawany guy, I will try James Sheehan
Phumi Nketa, Vinicius Pires, Satybaldiev, Lany Silva, Brazilian Japanese small girl, Marcos flyweight, a bunch of other Brazilian LFA fighters (there is almost one outstanding one in each weight class)
Yakhyaev, Lee Scott, Younousov, Augen, Bouafia
Baysangur Susurkaev, Ramazan Gasanov, Murtazali Magomedov
Kubanza, Ken Sekeletu, Hwende, Bulaid, maybe Dalidko (Brave HW champ)
Bilal Hasan, Luke Fernandez
Adiguzel, Aljarouj if really French, and Novenyi if good wins next week
Otari Tanzilovi again, Aaron Tau again
Maybe African Japanese guy
Maybe the Pink Panther Brit of FCC
1 or 2 Fighting Nerds (Palacios? Brito?)
Maybe Manoel Sousa
Some Brazilian girls
Tau and Afro Japanese Ephoeviga was announced for Road to UFC.

Offers for DWCS already being made. Just heard of a fight that got offered for week 2.

Good for them
I am not sure if an APAC tournament is an easier road to the UFC than the DWCS

It should be fine for Yuji, he's the best fighter in the field. Tau I think sucks anyway.

does Luke Riley take a contender series deal or get signed straight away?

Also figure Hasan gets a shot, maybe this is the year Phumi gets a chance?

lol at the PFL not keeping Shanelle Dyer
I expect Dyer to be in the UFC before September
5 months for a fight is weird

Losing a 23 year old flyweight from London who is unbeaten, how does PFL do that? Its a div they need fighters in for their big star Dakota, its a market they are all in on in Europe, she's young and unbeaten and you lose her?

The batch of Featherweights is really good. I'm kinda hoping they avoid each other.

Marcio Barbosa is the hardest hitting FW in the world imo. Hits way harder than even Jean Silva for me. Only loss recently was to Gabriel Santos and he nearly had him out of there in the first.

Jose Delano is great too, another one who's only loss recently was to Gabriel Santos but he's been beating everyone else.

Radley Da Silva if you search on twitter had an absolutely gorgeous spin kick KO last year. He's really athletic and good also.

Mangos I've only seen once but looks both a good boxer and BJJ guy.

Ramiro Jimenez is a just bleed warrior entertainment personified kinda guy.

Cuozzi I haven't seen but looks like a can crusher. Not sure how Exposito has got on.

Some really good names so far. Although I think Sousa and Perez should be signed straight up.

I feel like Jimenez, Delano, Manumito and Perez are UFC ready and shouldn't have to go through DWCS. Exciting fighters to watch, too so they will eventually get signed even if they lose.

No gonna lie, Delano is probably the fighter out of the bunch I'm mostly interested in.

Sousa and Barbosa are the only ones I know
I thought they would have started with the stars of the feeding promotions, not inactive Combate Global / Karate Combat fighters

Juan Diaz is going to be on this season.

Him and Delano are the 2 fighters I'm most excited to watching this season. They both have similar styles.

Love Diaz. Some of the best boxing angles in the game imo
