Strength/Mass How many actual strength athletes are in your gym?

Also, in the period of my life before my current training, I’ve never trained consistently for more than eight months.

Very few. Bodybuilding/powerlifting tends to have a more neutral to slightly negative connotation. Most (whether justified or not) will automatically assume stuff like steroid use, egotistical personalities, high blood pressure, injuries.

The gym I'm at now has a good mixture of athletic people though. High variety such as lap swimmers, dancers, tennis players, and even some local boxers.
