I mean, he seems to be a killer. Idk why he's not even within the top 5, he needs to be top 3, 3 or 1... Idk. It seems he hides his performance in certain fights to get it all on fights that he wants the perception to be low. He has a style in which he hides things with his hands again, he has a leading distracting hands and is a kicking master, elite. And it's one of the first ones to get that kind of finish off his back in debute... He can hurt pro fighters real bad when he wants. He is there to play.

How good is he? I mean what is good? My good is gonna be different from your good and and it's gonna be different from another's persons good

The real question we should be asking is what's the good question on whats good and such

Yeah yair is a legit fighter

Anyone with good wrestling/grappling ragdolls and finishes him
Not really...Ortega was the only guy who beat him with grappling and he didn't really ragdoll him. Didn't take him down in r1 either (swept him instead).

Yair has struggled with guys who have good boxing. Volk and KZ (who lost, but was winning most of the fight) used striking to beat Yair primarily despite having good grappling. Max obviously another boxing heavy fighter.

Frankie Edgar fought Yair when he was not in his prime, which is why I did not mention it. It would be like me saying Yair does good against grapplers because he beat BJ Penn and Pitbull, who are incredible grapplers. Yair was only 23 years old when he fought Frankie Edgar, that was a big step up for him.

Volk did take down Yair a lot, but Volk still primarily beat him with boxing.

My argument isn't that Yair is not impossible to takedown, but you're writing it like he is Kevin Holland. For the most part, guys who took down Yair did it by softening him up with boxing and have largely beat his ass just by crowding him with combinations.

To be fair, I dont remember the Holloway fight that much, so I'll take your word for it. I know he used some wrestling, but I dont know if he primarily beat him with it.

He’s very skilled in pointing and waving his finger like a nanny. Other than that, he’s done nothing that makes me want to see him rematch Volk. He only decisioned a 38 year old Pitbull. I cannot even remember anything else he’s done since getting made to look like a child against Volk in the first meet.

Match him with Diego Lopes next.

His hair was all wispy looking, I wonder what he was doing during his latest layoff.

Hold on. Don't even name drop BJ. That contradicts your prime argument. That BJ was a walking zombie. His grappling had nothing to do with it

To answer the question I'd say he's a B+ or 8/10 fighter. Just like Brian Ortega whom he traded wins with. It's tough to say he lacks toughness after the KZ fight. I would say he's very athletic, great kickboxing and creativity, underrated ground game. He's an IC

Yet he freezes against the best and can't seem to string a undisputed title run. I'd love for him to get his Charles moment and unfortunately he may have topped out.

Maybe we haven't seen him at his best yet. I think next he should fight Arnold Allen

Yair is patently a top 5 talent. To say he's less than that is just obtuse hater-ation.

Yes, He has some holes in his game, but may have over all the strongest stand up game at FW

Yairs poor ground game is overstated he can still finish and submit people on the mat like he did Emmet

He a fw gatekeeper that folks keep trying to say is a contender. He's a good guy as a card stuffer as he can be fun - not a serious contender he's a gatekeeper / upper end Journeyman.

ehhh sounds more like arnold allen or diego lopes based on your description

He's quite delusional thinking he will get a titleshot after beating 38-year old Pitbull by decision.

Give him Lopes, Sterling, Allen, or even someone like Jean Silva would be a great fight.
