How good is Jan Blachowicz ?

He's 41 years old, but skill wise, he's not the best in any area but is competitive with anybody in every area. He's also the only one who had enough sense to take the fight to the ground early. Not sure if it was age or the altitude that made him gas after winning the 1st round with grappling.

He quietly became the best technical striker in the UFC. He outstruck Izzy and Alex.

If that fight wasnt in elevation, or if jan was a few years younger, jan probably would have won handedly. Some thought he did win.

Jan is good, and also he knows how to gameplan for fights, which apparently most light heavyweights either can't do, or don't have the skillset to do.

Unfortunately I don't see anymore good performances from jan considering he's 41 and coming off a major injury.

Jan is a journey man who was on the prelims during the Jones-DC-Gus-Rumble era.

He lost to Gus 2x during that time for a reason. He also lost to Corey and Phil Davis around that time too and got knocked out by Manuwa and Maretta as well.

Do you think Jan improved so much that he won the title at 41? Or did the divison decline so much after Jones, DC, Gus, Rumble, Lyoto and Rashad disappeared?

You think it's a coincidence that Jan never defended his belt once and that he lost it to Glover- a guy who also never defended his belt and got absolutely smoked by everyone I listed above: Jones, Gus, Rumble, Phil and Corey.

You be the judge.

Jan is a solid, experienced fighter but he's closer to being a journey man than to being an all time great and the only reason why he's getting more respect than he deserves is because Poatan fanboys must inflate the value of his wins to justify their ridiculous euphoria.

So many things wrong with this. Jan is a former champion. He is in no way a journeyman.

And he did defends his belt. Against Israel Adesanya. Also, he knocked Corey out the second time they fought. Like, I don't think you have any idea what the hell you're talking about.

I thought he beat Alex as well and I like Alex. If you watch it again you can see that he was in the pocket with Alex a good amount and even when he looked tired he was landing. Also Alex was very tired but in the third did not show it as much as Jan however Jan was still responding .. Its hard to explain but watch it again if you get a chance.
