How dominant is Khabib without a cage?

You'll have to make rules that prevent excessive avoiding. But fighters would also develop styles more suited to run and catch people who want to run. Probably would see more tackles. You could also have a light sensor mechanism to always determine how far the fighters are away from each other and have a rule of what the maximum range of separation between the fighters is allowed to be.
why make so many weird rules if you can just make them fight in a cage to begin with ?

He didn't used the cage that much early in his career.

Oh damn you big mad or little mad? You sound big mad and I love it!

Opponents skill level is a big variable in counting his victories outside a cage. He literally fought Travis Fulton level opponents in doggysand!

Why do you purposely link to a poll showing your hero with less than 10% of GOAT votes vs 30 and 40% for Fedor and GSP? Seems like you'd be ashamed of that.

He would be as good in a ring. Much easier to get your hands on your opponent and cut the ring off. but we’ll never know.

Khabib started fighting in MMA in russia ten years ago, of course he wasnt going to face killers, there weren't even that many fights for him to take, why are you even arguing with that. Your favourite fighter faced his fare share of cans too. Khabib can fight anywhere in the cage if needed, it just happened that he developped his style to be fence-friendly over time, that's his style. How hard is it to realise that ? Unless you never watched his fights before, apart from his last three, probably that.

Because the wall/fence is a tool or a weapon. I'd like to see a, in a sense, more pure version of unarmed combat where all you have is your body and the floor.

truth hurts mate
12 UFC wins, 6 of which were top 10 opponents (including 4 top 5)..

Fought Ali Bagov and Eldar Eldaov earlier in his career..

Yet in your estimation he has fought only 3 legit fighters. As I said, fucking fool..

<Lmaoo>

Hard to say but it does matter look at what the ring did for strikers, it wasn't just steriods that made pride fighters look so fun.

How is that more pure? It is less pure, IMO. One has to REALLLY try to make an endless floor. All real world environments have limits and walls unless they are fighting in the desert.

No not really, the question was about Khabib's style and you are questioning the skills of his opponents.

Because those aren't separable, bud. His style has worked against lower tier fighters, that doesn't mean it will also work against higher tier. It might work against higher tier competition. But you can't judge it from fights against lower level comp.

It's not more realistic. But the unarmed part is more pure, because you have less external help.

but why ? if there's no limit, theirs no fight just running. And if you put subjective rules, you ll make the fight less realistic, the fight will have to stop everytime someone cross the limit a bit like the grappling matches today etc.

Go watch Sanda fights or taekewendo if you are interested in fight without cage or ring. it is much much less entertaining than MMA or Muay thai because fighters just avoid confrontation most of the time. ( how can you blame them, if there's no barrier ... )

The floor is an artificial construct.

They should fight in zero G.

In a vacuum.

At absolute zero.

Eldar Eldarov, Shabulat Shamhalaev and Ali Bagov are UFC tier fighters Khabib beat in Russia

Dude I’m not reading all that bullshit. It’s a known fact he has fought shit comp before coming to the UFC, well documented on here. It’s not like I’m saying something new or edgy. Go away clown.

Thats the case for 90% of the ufc roster, you dont start by fighting ufc caliber fighters, we should really include an iq test before you're allowed to comment here, like what the actual fuck
Tell that to CM Punk

Name 5 opponents you would consider top 5 on his resume?

That's not what I was even arguing, you're the clown if you can't even fucking read. He didnt have great competition because there simply wasn't any. You want me to spell it out for you ?
