How does Mcgregor beat Diaz?

People keep repeating "Conor can't out cardio a Diaz", but he doesn't have to. He needs enough cardio to be able to execute his own game plan, he doesn't need to make Nate gas...

I just can't see it happening. He'd have to fight very smart & safe.

Use the condit strategy. Knowing Conor he probably wont resort to that.

At this point if Mcgregor is really serious about beating Diaz, what does he have to do? He's not a wrestler, neither not a Muay Thai kicker. Does he keep it competitive to UD like the Holloway fight?

He was winning round 1, gassed and got clipped.. Just needs a better game plan.
He was used to starching little people, but to say he has no chance is loco

Will be a crazy fight

Fight stopped via cut.

Thats seriously the only way I think Conor might win....All that scar tissue on Nate Diaz + ZUFFA/NSAC corruption/incompetence = Conor winning.

The blue print is there. Low kicks to the lead leg to remove Nate's balance and power ala RDA and Thompson. Lateral movement instead of moving backwards. Clinch when he gets close, hit a few shots, get out, reset. Fake low, kick high in round 2 or 3 when he gets frustrated.

But of course Conor is too proud to do that.

If he's gameplan is to outlast Diaz, then he might as well not turn up. He needed to go all out just to win one round, if he tries to conserve energy he won't even win that.
His only chance is in the finish, which isn't going to come from winging punches. He has to catch Nate with something he doesn't see coming.
Mcgregor doesn't have the ability to capitalize on the areas Diaz is known to be weak in

Keep doing what he was doing in the first fight , but smarter and for a little longer and he can stop Diaz .

By feigning a contract dispute and roon back to midget weight.

full camp diaz will murk him again. conor was training for the biggest fight in his carrier which was supposed to be against rda and he was supposed to be in the best shape while gassing out against opponent with no training camp in 2nd round. i can see this rematch ending in 2nd round again i just cant see scenario where conor would come out victorious against opponent whom had 3 days of fighting camp before their matchup and now will have a full camp to get ready for him...

He needs to fight the way he did pre-Aldo, now he has respect for Nate's game and realises not everyone is going to leave themselves open to eat up a sweet left, I predict a great fight.

SERIOUS OPINION from a Conor fan:

1. Amazing leg kicks. Like Barboza did with Pettis, or RDA with Nate when the faced each other. I may be wrong but I think is one of Nate´s weaker points. His kryptonite.

2. Better cardio & efficiency.
Not with his energy, fuck that zen kind of bullshit excuse. Be efficient with your punches.

3. LUCK.
At the end of the day... anything can happen in a fight. Let´s face it, we´ve seen it many times: Fluke sometimes plays a role. I´m not saying Conor wouldn´t have beat Aldo if it wasn´t for that early punch to his chin... but lets be real: if wouldn´t have been the walk in the park it was. If Aldo wins to Edgar, the rematch Jose-Conor rematch is going to be very different. Maybe McGregor wins again. Who knows. But it won´t be that easy.

CONCLUSION:
He can´t win DIAZ.

1. He doesn´t have that kind of leg kicks. At least I haven´t seen them in any of his previous fights. Even if he had them, it only takes Diaz catching one, and taking it to the ground and the figth is over.

2. You can´t hardly improve your cardio in a short timespan like the one he´s facing: a few months. Even he manages to be more efficient with his punches... Nate´s chin is rock solid. He´s a fucking warrior with tons of fuel in his tank.

3. Sometimes LUCK plays his part in fights... but for the most part... it´s all about the skills, and Nate is a superior martial artist, imo.

I just hope when Conor losses, is in a decision. I don´t care if it´s unanimous. Sadly I think it´ll be a KO, TKO or another submission.

It's 3 days now is it? :) Was 2 weeks previously. Just like he was was in full on party mode - but in reality was actually in training for a triathlon.

Nate deserves a lot of credit for taking and winning the fight on short notice, but the story is growing arms and legs.

Soon, he'll have taken the fight on no notice and shown up still drinking shots......

He should fight like he did against Holloway. His Holloway performance was his best ever, IMO. First two rounds anyways, before he tore his ACL.

People act like you can just get better cardio lol.

Fluke punch is all he has.

i dont think he can at 170....his cardio was horrible

well he had 11 days notice and trained for the actual fight for 3 days according to some sources. and hows triathlon preparation (if he even was preparing for it) is anywhere near the full camp conor who had everything to get ready for the biggest fight in his carrier. i just cant see a full camp diaz losing to an opponent he dominated in such short notice.
