At this point if Mcgregor is really serious about beating Diaz, what does he have to do? He's not a wrestler, neither not a Muay Thai kicker. Does he keep it competitive to UD like the Holloway fight?

cardio to last out the rounds, not get KTFO, use the jab, not load up, don't try to KO/headhunt him, more slipping countering.

He needs to get comfortable in uncomfortable.

He pretty much gonna have to kill him and good luck with that.

Probably utilize leg kicks more, and instead of aiming at a head of a longer, taller opponent, try to hit body more. Body shots can be very effective and slow Nate down.

He cant. Use the jab, better cardio, don't headhunt, it wont matter. Diaz has better technical boxing, his cardio is arguably the best in MMA and his ju jitsu is second to none.

Utilize his efficient kicking game like he did with Mendes, not that silly Capoeira crap, as body shots and leg kicks have always been the bane of the Diaz brothers when it comes to striking. Work his way to the inside, rather than over-extending with his punches and tiring himself out by exerting all that force into trying to cheat the distance gap. Not loading up for that one big shot, because not only does a power punch from a static position requires much more energy, but Diaz can take it, and, instead, work with short combos and feints that end with a big shot, because Diaz will slip and turn with the first punch like he always does while a natural body progression into the power shot will be more efficient.

Or just fight in his own weight class, but you know. It's a winnable fight as long as McGregor takes the time to adjust to the weight class, rather than taking a crash course in weight gain.

Cardio.

Which is a tall order when your opponent is a cardio machine :)

Headhunt again. What else he gonna do? No matter how much he trains he will not out cardio a Diaz bro. Conor appears not to be a 5 rd fighter with the pace he normally keeps. He cannot wrestle him, nor implement leg kicks from nowhere. He will do as he always does, think he has superior boxing which should be enough if he doesn't gas himself, and remain oblivious to the fact that Diaz likely has him beat in the boxing area as well.

Everyone who thought Conor would beat Diaz easily their first fight thought so because they believed Conor had the left hand of doom (even Firas Zahabi did), and now we know that it doesn't make any difference, plus the fact that Diaz probably has more efficient boxing too.

He can't just rely on getting an early KO. He needs to focus more on leg and body kicks. In the first fight I believe he threw over 110 strikes and only 10 or so were to the leg. He needs to break Diaz down.

By outscoring him like 7 of his previous opponents have done. And I still think McGregor can knock him out. (not saying he will either of the above - could go either way I reckon).

"Coach Kavanagh: Nate Diaz got lit up by Josh Thomson, can't take shots like his brother Nick"

Lol, how does John enter this conversation? I understand you don't like Conor but no need to go full retard because of that. Nate can lose like any other fighter out there, but he is a bad matchup for Conor.

I just thought I saw some similarities.

Also, I don't have anything against Connie so try again.
