We all know Cyril can evade strikes. But Francis has this insane blitz. We saw it with Rozenstruik. Looks damn near unavoidable.

Gane is fast but a Ford Escort traveling at 90 is fast is as well.

The 1st minute of this fight will probably tell us who is going to win.

He has to circle towards the power hand, take his time getting started (really feel francis out) and when he does he should jump into the center of the cage and start swinging at francis. Take two to give one mentality and I think he walks out of there with the belt around his waist.

I think in the first round Ngannou will be hesitant and lose the round. I think he needs to try his blitzes in the 2nd or else he's getting stopped in the champ rounds or getting dismantled for a decision.

The same way any competent boxer does, elusiveness and circling, range management.

Plus gane knows his tendencies a bit
You cannot compare Gane to boxers.

Kicks, wrestling and clinch make things very different in MMA. There are also no big gloves to hide behind.

Gane better use Jones’ plan against Rampage.

That can only work for so long, it's 5 rounds and Ngannou isn't Lewis. Even Lewis was able to get him trapped against the cage a few times and had Gane having to turn his back and run. Lewis has no footwork and movement speed and he was able to trap Gane in moments. Gane has to fight the perfect fight. I think Ngannou will eventually trap him or get close enough and force Gane to fight. Which isn't Gane's usually fighting style so he'll gas quicker. As long as Ngannou doesn't have cardio issues he should be able to trap or catch him. 5 rounds is a long time to be running and trying to avoid power shots.

I'm stating that if ngannou blitzes, the guidelines are the same. And even gane who is very muey thai heavy, will still relegate to circling him into a counter right while facing a blitz forward.

Imo Francis has exactly 11 minutes before he slows down and gets picked apart as you had said.

With that knowledge I would think Francis is going to go pretty damn hard in the 1st 2.

By beating him to the punch and leg kicks and elbows. Francis might get slept if he’s not careful because Gane can enter the danger zone and come out from the other side in great shape. He did that with BB beast. Gane is not a joke

I disagree, gane is the guy that can do that for 5 rounds. Ngannou will burn himself out within a round plus a few minutes (maybe) with this strategy

If anyone is gassing it's gonna be Ngannou.

Yes it's tiresome to evade for 5 rounds. It's way more tiresome to hit air for 5 rounds. The more frustrated Francis gets the more tired he will become.

I am truly surprised no one has gone with time the takedown.

If Gane fights a fight he's not used, meaning exchanging with Ngannou instead of picking his shots here and there he will gas. Like I said, as long as Ngannou doesn't gas he should be able to catch Gane. But if he does gas then yes Gane will start pulling ahead in the later rounds. Gane is very low output, he picks his shots and dances around most of the time.

This is quite the oxymoron.

If Gane fights like you say he goes to sleep. If he evades Francis then Francis gasses.

I dont see how this fight makes it to Gane being gassed

He's low output, change his output he'll gas. He picks his shots and dances around most of the time instead. That's why he can do 5 rounds. He's dancing around fighters with no footwork/movement. So it's not really tiring him out.
