How does Costa cut down to 185 lbs?

^ ^ ^ To add to my response, that means he's dieting from 230-250 down to 217 lbs, and dehydrating from 217 to 185.
In the documentary of Romero vs Whittaker 1, Romero was 195 lbs three weeks before the fight. If he stepped into the cage that fight with the similar weight at which he fought Costa, he cut down to 195 lbs and dehydrated to 185 lbs to make weight and rehydrated to 200+ lbs to fight.

I mean, yeah, Romero's not a big guy. He's just super muscular. He's 5'8, as you can see on his Olympic stats before he had to pad his height WWE style to make more $$$ in pro sports later on. Costa is way bigger than Romero.

I mean that it is technically possible that Costa cut down to 205-210 lbs and dehydrated to 186 lbs but rehydrated to 217 lbs.

It really shocks me that Costa could make weight considering he is a natural heavyweight. It even shocks me more that he could keep himself in good condition after such a big weight cut. Personally, when I was wrestling, a weight cut of more than 8 kg would make me feel sick and weak.

He openly uses ivy bags so theres you're answer you coulda googled it bud

thats still unreal 217 to 185? thats crazy. anthony johnson somehow would fight at welterweight. i know he missed weight but to even get close to 170 for him is insane

Very carefully. Seriously, the guy's The Natty GOAT. He has like 2% body fat, which means he can dehydrate all the water from his all natty muscles. It's like science and shit, bro.

The problem isnt his 26 to 32 pound cut he makes for a few hours dont get me wrong its difficult...

The issue is like you said being dehydrated and weak...

Costa its no secrete he says. It everybody knows he needs to use iv bags to compete at 185.. and last time I checked he can iv up to 200+- 220ish when hes in the cage...gets all his water and str back even cleaner.

So yeah hes a hw in the cage for a 185 fight ..

Anyhow alot of them are romero is around 208 212 in cage

Maybe that is why he could not even squeeze his biceps during the weigh-in against Romero: he was almost dry.

You'd be wrong. California's commission weighs the fighters again right before they step into the cage. Costa weighed in at 185 lbs during the weigh ins, and he weighed 217 lbs when he stepped into the cage.

This is just insane. Fekin cheater.

Of the 95 fighters (49 fights, 4 events) who CSAC has documented fight night weights, he is percentage-wise only the 11th worst offender.

That being said, most fighters on this list are Featherweights or lower. He's the worst offender fighting above 145.

Vettori was almost as bad, at 211lbs and a 14% delta. Romero weighed 207.2 for that fight (a 12.3% delta).

Name, Weigh-in weight, Fight Night Weight, Delta %, Division, W or L

Wait wait..... Aspen Ladd..... weighed in at 135lbs and then was 159lbs in the cage?? 24lbs more for a woman?????

That's amazing and it shouldn't really be possible because water-dehydration mostly comes from water-depletion in muscles so generally women cannot water-cut as much (in percent terms) as men. So...does anyone have any idea how Aspen Ladd put on 24lbs (17.8%)?? She she just rehydrate and then eat huge meals??

Diuretics. Only kidding he's all natural.
