I'd say illegal immigration is a problem with the possible opportunity to serve as a wake up call for black (afro-Americans)
-less of a hindrance for Caribbean and African migrants(1st/2nd generation) due to a stronger belief in education, and "shame" associated with welfare use.

1. Illegal immigration is a definite problem due to a loss of blue collar job opportunity(especially restaurant jobs due to blacks living in urban areas).
-considering society is changing and such work is becoming obsolete, the additional competition of illegal immigrants in these types of professions is speeding up the paradigm shift.

2. A hidden benefit (though a farfetched hope on my part) could be the value of education being understood and accepted in black American culture as a requirement.
-The fact blacks' native language is English, this should provide an advantage over illegal immigrants w.r.t. to learning/education.
-a culture change is necessary prior to the acceptance of the value of education w.r.t. future individual self-sustainment(i.e. career paths)

It's quite interesting that the champions of illegal immigration and policies like DACA are those that are not impacted by them.
