I feel weird agreeing with Chris and Sal. Super close fight. Really enjoyed watching it.

I watched the fight. There were several toss up rounds. I wouldnt be upset with the fight going 1 way or the other. But calling it a robbery is just not accurate. I swear to some people, its the extreme or its nothing.
The internet everybody, the internet...

It is difficult to respond in a constructive manner. Armans face was busted up and he was looking for a way out since round 3.

I've had last 3 rounds for Gamrot, with the first two being dead close.

The first two rounds were the clearest of the fight. Arman clearly won 1 and 2, while 3-5 was close.

holy shit this thread blew up fast!!

I had Gamrot lol

Arman had the numbers, but were they really more impactful strikes? Even beside the pace and grappling, Gamrot's jab clearly cut up his eye badly and found a home for his right numerous times near the end, and Gamrot looked much fresher when all was said and done. If we consider this point and then quantify the takedowns + control time, giving Gamrot the last 3 is not too far-fetched at all. In any case, both fighters deserve immense respect from fans for a great performance

I literally couldn't have said it any better myself.

It was close, but I thought it was a clear Armen win.

The problem with the judging in this sport is the inconsistency. On one card, takedowns with no damage are rewarded, but on the next one, they don’t count for anything. If Gamrot’s takedowns with no damage were sufficient, then why isn’t Taila Santos the champion?

Every week there’s a different criteria.

i agree. i really wish there wasn't an athletic commission and dana could run the company how he wants. i'd rather have 1 judge per card who knows wtf he's doing rather than 3 who don't. we'd likely see more draws (and rightfully so).

Too many people too emotionally invested to give fair analysis. I had it 48-47 Tsarukyan but there is obviously a solid case for Gamrot and a solid case for several different scorecards. People on here have a real hard time understanding any opinion but their own.

Maybe if you only listened to the commentary or don't understand what you're seeing. Armans only weapon were the body kicks, but as proven by the result, they didn't have any impact on Gamrots performance. At the same time Gamrot has proven to be the superior grappler and was seeing more success with his boxing. The first two were razor close, the last 3 were clear Gamrot wins, with momentum completely on his side - as he himself predicted.

A perfectly applied gameplan on his end.

Takedowns and control time -> strikes. Its Jones vs reyes all over again.

It all came down to the third which I gave to Gamrot just cause I felt he deserved a round. I'm not sure I would have given it to him if I just turned on the fight and hadn't seen the first 2 rounds though.

They might as well try 5 or 7 judges.. this is a weekly occurence. What sucks,is it takes a way from how good and skilled that fight was

50 % voted Arman. LMAOing my ass off at the moment. Yall dont know what youre watching.

Someone brought up a really good point, I get dopamine dumps and all, but after the fight Arman looked too tired to string out a sentence and Gamrot was all over the cage shouting.

So it's not illegal to hold the fence now? Did I miss a rule update? You can hold on to it until the ref physically removes your hand from the fence. Interesting.

That’s not a good point at all. With this reasoning Adesanya beat Jan Blachowicz as Jan was breathing heavy at the end and Izzy wasn’t.
