I think it came down to the last rnd in which I think Arman won but his body language was terrible

Didn't Arman drop him in the 4th? How exactly does Gamrot win that round?

Missed out most of round 5 smh, can't even give my own scorecard

The way I saw the rounds:
- Round 1: Clearest round, Tsarukyan
- Round 2: Close, leaning Tsarukyan but gotta reevaluate that overhand Gamrot appeared to land near the end
- Round 3: Close, leaning Gamrot
- Round 4: Close, no idea who won that; leaning Tsarukyan, really gotta reevaluate how much Arman's trapped foot counts towards effective grappling
- Round 5: Missed out on 3.5 minutes

This fight all comes down to how you score kicks and how you score takedowns without significant damage.

I thought Tsarukyan but the last 2 rounds were tricky to score and pretty even. I would have gone with Tsarukyan on both of them because he did more damage and takedowns didn't result in Gamrot doing any significant damage.

I still don't really know what a takedown in isolation means. Back in the day a takedown in a round almost guaranteed you win, it doesn't seem as much now however I think that why Gamrot won.

Don't think it was a robbery by any means although I don't agree with the result.

Yeah judging was a sham. Quite a clear 1, 2, 4 for Arman.

You could argue the 5th went to Arman too.

Had first 2 for Arman and last 3 for Gamrot. Good high level technical fight, Gamrot made great adjustments to take over and his cardio held up incredibly well.

Not a bad loss for Arman either, it was a very close fight. I think Gamrot is a crazy cardio machine + more experienced in championship rounds which helped him get the victory, more so than Arman having bad cardio.

The striking was close though, some of you guys make it sound like Arman was dominating

When the striking is close and one fighter is handily winning the grappling exchanges, the grappling exchanges might give them the nod

yeah the judges got it wrong. they seem to be on a roll lately with with this and the kattar fight

Gamrot loses a split to Guram when he should’ve won.

Gurman then loses a split to Ismagulov when he should’ve won.

Gamrot then gets a UD over Arman when he should’ve lost.

According to my calculations, the only way to close this thing is for Arman to be gifted a decision over Ismagulov in his next fight. Make it happen Dana.

Here’s another fight that goes to a decision where people who don’t understand the effectiveness and damage of a good jab, scream robbery. Arman had some great body kicks and it was a great fight. It could have gone either way truthfully but I think they made the right call, the boxing and grappling were much more effective by Gamrot.

usually dana does a good job of recognizing robberies. i wouldn't be surprised if he has arman fight up in the rankings even after this L

*checks notes* the math seems correct

Edit: Why cant you just let threads be threads. Mods here think they do something important lmao

Armens corner was bad, the ATT guy and the Armenian guy were screaming over eachother with the syndicate guy trying to get a word in as well. It looked like all 3 thought they were the cheif corner.

Arman but Im not even mad, it was so close

If you thinks its a robbery either way, go get tested for autism

I felt arman won but it was so close.eitrher way there is no robbery.hated to see either lose but Arman has so much time left in his career. I think a loss would have hurt gamrot more.arman at 5'7 should maybe test moving down to 145 but he's pretty lean and only getting bigger as he comes into his prime.

That’s not a good point at all. With this reasoning Adesanya beat Jan Blachowicz as Jan was breathing heavy at the end and Izzy wasn’t.
Itbis in a context of damage dealt in an extremely close fight.
Adesanya-Blachowicz wasn't a close fight at all unless you went by commentary.

I just don't understand how you can outstrike your opponent and knock him down and still lose the round because of a takedown with zero impact

The knockdown in this instance had more to do with Gamrot standing on one leg. Arman ate more impactful punches to the face in this round.

Fight was close and sucked. Both would suck againsed the champ/Islam.
