How did Belal beat Leon? He got lucky.

Belal fought Leon while healthy, Belal fought Jack while coming back from his death bed 7 months ago.
Belal never has stamina problems but he did this fight, stop pretending getting sick to that extent doesn't effect you.

Watch Belal next fight after he fully recovers, he will dominate again, Jack is the champion until Islam beats him in the first round of his reign.
sounds like cope

What adjustments?
Pressure and his entries. He was having success boxing with JDM, so he stayed there for a few rounds instead of making it ugly against the fence. I'd have to rewatch the fight again to do a thorough breakdown on it.

It probably sounds that way, maybe it is, although i maintain its completely true, and its evident judging by Belal performance in his fight against Jack.
He may never recover, he should have vacated the belt took a year off, fully recovered then come back, but no, he tried going through Ramadan while being sick and have a fight camp.
Anyways, his loss.

Actually it was Leah who got lucky in their first fight. Bela beat him fair and square, while Leah used her long dirty fingernails to cheat. JDM would make Leah his bitch too.

So you are muslim?

To be fair, Muhammad really didn’t start to get serious about his grappling until round 4, against Della Maddalena…

If he fought a similar way against Edwards, I see Edwards coming away with the win, just like Della Maddalena did.

He said he couldn't get him down he told his corner he was too slippery he said this after round 3 or 4

Leon is weak at boxing range, doesn't fight great off the back foot and doesn't use angles anywhere near as well as JDM did last night. Leon has several bad habits including backing up straight and accepting TD attempts with relatively weak "first order takedown defense"

Jack did his homework.
Give him the respect he deserves for that performance.

This, Belal took advantage of his weakness perfectly that night.

He beat him by beating his ass for 4 plus rounds. It wasn't even that hard to see

Belal fake gloves touched Leon is round 2/3 and it was downhill from there. Leon is better than Jack De Renegela, he is a better striker, better grappler.
Okay Leon.

Your trolling steiner overfloweth

Leon isn’t great when he’s pressured and not given space. Not very good off the back foot and tends to back straight up. Susceptible to being taken down and kept there. Belal was a bad match up for him. Leon is one of the weakest champions in the last decade or so.

leon is mentally weak. there is no way he'd ever put on a 5th round like JDM and Belal did. he aint got that dog in him.

he just lucked his way into a title by landing headkick in a fight he was losing. usman didn't show up for the rematch

Decision based fighters can't win via fluke. Belal ragdolled Leon and dominated the entire fight. Leon likes to give up when things don't go his way.

It was too disastrous to make it ugly against the fence vs JDM because when he would enter those close quarters needed he would get his face elbowed off to Bolivian and fed with uppercuts and knees. It was a horrible place for him to be so he noped out of it.

JDM is a better version of the striker that avoids TDs than Leon, by far.

Leon vs Belal is a battle to remain in the top 5, but not a battle for the best.
