How crazy is it that the best MMA fighter in the world literally CAN'T fight in the UFC

Then they should make a super heavyweight division, but it will have ZERO Cardio. Some someone like Brock would have owned that division. Eddie is learning but to think he would beat UFC fighters is just stupid.
Brock, especially the pre-divurticulitis version, would easily take down and dominate Hall.

While I do agree that the weight cap is ridiculous...without it (in the current world we live in where MMA is basically a bush league), you would get guys like Tim Sylvia - I will talk about him since his name was already mentioned - would show up to fights looking like this :

342733821_764123718691464_1282637823235866286_n.jpg

so over 400 pounds.

Instead of like this :

117869791.jpg

so, cutting down to 266 probably from around 280 or something.

Don't get me wrong : most men would not want to step to either version of Tim. But the actual in shape version of himself is a way more capable fighter all around than the overweight version.

How about this. The ACs won't allow it, which means that they could not get sanctioned in the US. People arguing for an open weight division neglect this way to much.

How about that for a low iq turdbucket argument.
Why won't they allow it? It's this another false narrative you just puking out your asshoe? And who gives a fuck if they can't fight in the US? There is like literally millions of other countries to fight in. We already see the UFC whoring of the middle eat.

Please reply so I can read another low IQ turd bucket comment.

And probably some more fights like Kimbo vs. Dada 5000, where you're more concerned about fighters having a heart attack then getting CTE (though that will happen too).

The UFC definitely needs to remove the heavyweight limit. Hafthor Bjornsson is arguably even better than Eddie Hall. He beat Eddie in a boxing match and I think he'd beat him in MMA too.

Can't believe people don't realize it's a troll post.
It doesn't mean the UFC shouldn't remove the 265 pound limit. Any person over 205 pounds that can have a winning record in the UFC should be allowed to fight, regardless of their weight.

That might not be Eddie Hall, but I guarantee there's some up and coming giant 400+ pound strong men in their 20s that would love to be UFC HW champion one day.

The reason he CANT fight in the UFC is because he couldnt pass a drug test. Get off the drugs and hed deflate like a balloon to the 265 limit.

Also, Pudz was never that good. He was always sideshow tier in MMA. And he gave away 67 pounds weight. Watching the fight it was evident he just got bulldozed by a much bigger and stronger man. It was a heavyweight versus a superheavyweight.

Jones, Aspinall, Ngannou, Stipe brought back from the firehouse, still destroy Eddie.
No, Stipe at least doesn’t beat Hall without a weight limit.

Let me first be clear, by best MMA fighter in the world I do NOT mean the most skilled, I mean the person that would beat all other fighters, regardless of weight, gender, etc.

Eddie Hall just finished Pudzianowski in 30 seconds, proving that sheer size and strength can overcome decades of martial arts training. Due to an absolute ridiculous, farcical, arbitrary rule, Hall can't fight in the UFC because he's too big.....how in the fucking world can that be justified? It's basically discrimination against larger humans?

And I'm not being facetious, how can you ethically exclude larger humans from fighting at the highest weight class?!?!

Hall would be UFC champion within two years. Every single hour of martial arts training for him is like a month for a regular man. Just his one boxing match with Hafthor was enough to develop the ability to KO a veteran like Pudz in 30 seconds. Imagine what some wrestling and BJJ training will do when combined with those physical abilities.

I don't care who you are, even Jones or Aspinall, you're not stopping a takedown from an elite athlete than weigh 100 more lbs than you.

This absurd, literally exclusionary and bigoted weight cap must be lifted, so we can actually see who the best fighter in the world is. Until then, the UFC HW title will always have an asterisk and be more like some bizarre handicap or affirmative action version of the sport of MMA.

Reasons he cant fight in the UFC isnt only because hes too big.

His piss is also nuclear..

He also beat up a can in Pudz ..whos 50 ...

We saw Hall sparring HW fighters he got headkick and dropped...

I dont know why people have such fantasies about the largest muscle guy has to be champion lol..

In reality, thats rarely the case...

Their hearts would explode my friend...

they tried this so many times with SHW divisions its 2 mins of action and the 13 mins of trying to breath ..

Not mention we already have lard asses everywhere at the current limit ... u open the weight class up and we'll have the biggest slob fest of all time....

lol beating 50 year old Pudz now makes yo the best fighter in the world. What Francis, Jones and Tom would do to that man would be silly.

In his prime UFC years, maybe. But doubtfully when Tim was fighting in "Moosin: God of Martial Arts" events, lol.
How can we know. I mean he did get extremely fat, like extremely, he and Rico Rodriguez. Pudz debuting vs him, that's still a champion, albeit fat.

Dada had kidney failure from being fat and out of gass 😆

Edit : sorry Dada I know it wasn't funny for you at all

Eddie Hall would do ok in MMA against others his size and experience. There is one thing that is good about him. He isn't scared to get hit but he is very hittable. He would die against big kickboxers because he would try to brawl with them. Some guys have better chance of transitioning into MMA like Martins Licis or Mitchell Hooper. They are a little younger and they were athletes.

Prime Miocic would pick apart Hall anyway he wants and probably get him out of there.

But, like I said in another thread :

Over muscled strong men don't make for interesting fighters. Yeah, some of their weaknesses can be compensated for by intense PED usage - why not get rid of drug testing all together and make it transparent?

But in any case: the real interesting open weight fighters would be if guys like this got into mma from a young age:

The guy on the left is what 293 pounds looks like at 7'4'' with an athletic frame. Would be much more interesting to see athletic guys like that fight - who would actually have functional cardio to go with huge natural power - than a bunch of over muscled meat heads.

Embarrassing. Even in the earliest UFC fights with no rounds, where no one knew how to train or condition, you didn't see two guys gassed for nearly the entire fight like that.

Every bit of muscle or fat a man adds to his body works the heart that much harder. Cinema and gym bro culture has convinced far too many men that they "need to put on mass". No you don't. You don't need any more muscle and fat than your body needs to function - athletically or otherwise.

Do you think this man ever gave a fuck about putting on muscle? Of course not. Meanwhile lads in 2025 be stressing over "gains" or "lean is law" or "lookmaxing". Come on now

Weight limit at HW is bullshit.
