how come dos anjos is not more popular?

so how popular can dos anjos attain in his ufc career.?

I like RDA a lot but I think there are a few reasons as to why he doesn't appeal to the masses or the casual fans. One would be that he isn't a prolific finishes, 12 of his 25 wins are by decision. Another would be that he doesn't talk shit, he kinda gives the standard cliche answers that we've heard a million times.

Again, I'm a fan but this is why I think he isn't more popular.

Because the UFC chooses to promote WWE over the top loudness instead of also promoting diversity with everything 4 everybody the good guy, family guy angle who's worked hard to earn his gold. RDA is strong among the hardcore fight nation if you love him or hate him, it's these new casuals need to learn there's more to mma than flashy KO's sometimes you need to grind; RDA is boss @That.

He's boring. I remember seeing a site that sorts fighters based on popularity and he was ~150 (crazy because he's the champ and exciting to watch).

Don't worry when he beats Al and Conor beats Nate the fight will be arranged with Conor and RDA will be the most popular fighter in UFC history.

He hasn't fought in a good while, and people have short memories. He wins vs Alvarez and people will be talking about him again.

He also has quite a few losses, has not always been very exciting in the past and some people feel his surprising improvements in recent years to be somewhat suspicious.

I like him alright personally, but he's nowhere near my favourite champ.
