Colby is a great fighter, but an abysmal actor. Just incapable of selling it properly.
In a way I don't blame him for trying to save his spot in the UFC by any means necessary when he fought Maia, knowing they wanted to cut him win or lose.

But still, his act is borderline autistic. And viewers roll our eyes accordingly. The dude can fucking fight, but that's about it really. Wish he'd drop the act, admit he tried something out and it didn't take.

But it's funny to see his gushers not understand his "character" is simply an extension of his real personality in terms of being unlikable and unfuckable by women (sans money). They want to pretend he is *really* some high-level actor and genius when reality is almost the exact opposite.

There is a reason why pretty much no one sticks up for Colby, even among his teammates, and there is a reason why no one ever saw Colby with a (non-escort) woman *before* his character was developed. It's not that he's gay, it's that women are sincerely repulsed by him. If you understand body language you can also see it when other fighters ask female reporters about Colby.

He simply has found a way to leverage his weaknesses into attention and money (kind of). Good for him, but his gushers not understanding that is honestly really weird.
