..when the only reason he got the W was due to Silva not finishing him in the third and being gifted the decision. And that against a rusty 40 year old.

Heck he knew deep down it wasn't a real victory that's why he never asked for the title shot. He knows pukehold will rape him, so would any top 5 MW.

So no a win is not a effing win

bro it was a real victory, Bisping got two knockdowns, Silva got one knockdown, Bisping outstruck Silva by a large number as well. Bisping landed a whole lot more significant strikes than Silva before he got dropped by the knee.

lastly, and most importantly, Bisping won the scorecards so there is no argument left to be made.

I'd be happy with a win against an 89 year old anderson silva.

Beating Silva at this point, even if a legit victory does add to someone´s title shot chances? Semi-retired and not exactly a killer in his last few fights.

Your salt is lovely.

The man beat the guy who many consider to be the GOAT. Not only that, he was one mistake away from beating him 4 rounds to 1. Name another man who's done that to him?

how can silva celebrate a victory when he knows he only knocked him out cos he was trying to get his mouthpiece back? yeah...

A win is a win, especially for a fighter with the limited abilities of Bisping.

Ask Brock Lesnar if he was happy about his win over Shane Carwin even though Carwin used him as a punch bag for the first round? There is always something sweet about winning against all odds and hanging in there, showing your passion and heart to become victorious.

gets some win money, doesn't go down too much in rankings and continues to gatekeep for a few fights. could be worse for him.

Win's a win, yo.

1. The decision was not gifted. Rounds 1, 2 and 4 were Bisping's.

2. "If Silva had finished him in the third round...". There's no "if". He wasn't knocked out, the round ended. End of story. It really is as simple as that.

3. Quit whining already. Bisping beat Anderson fair and square, get over it.

His win against Hamill was even more of a robbery.

Silva had no chance to finish. He had 0 time left after that knee. Thats why he tried to declare himself the winner, he knew he wasn't going to win that fight. That's the ONLY thing he did in the 3rd to get that round. Bisping dropped him twice, out struck him, out worked him, controlled the octagon, and pressured him the whole fight.

Bisping won clean, stay bitter and mad babies.

Why do you care?

Bisping got a win but it isn't really that big a win, so I would say do Bisping vs The winner of Machida vs Henderson 2

How can people not know how to spell Bisping by now

But Michael shouldn't be so proud of this win

Yes he should. He out struck and beat Anderson Silva in his home country.

if the criteria for winning a fight included clowning then Andy would have won.

Bisping clearly won that fight dude and you just come off as in denial

But Michael shouldn't be so proud of this win

How so? He's only the second fighter to have beat Silva inside the Octagon.

Why shouldn't he be proud, as the decision was completely fair?

He wasn't gifted anything. He earned that win. He took a devastating knee and fought on for 2 more rounds to win it vs the former king pin of the division. He showed heart and determination. Congrats to him.

People act as if Anderson had a string of losses. Before this fight he lost to only one other fighter in the Octagon.
