Dude was literally 202 against Jan without worrying about diet or any cut. He is lanky, but weight wise a rather small MW.
haha can't even see Yoel under microscope conditions after that fight![]()
Made Yoel look small![]()
Not really. Yoel is way thicker. I actually look at Yoel and think how is this guy making 185.![]()

Look at welterwright Holland, there are no rules.Pretty big, no way a middleweight should be 6’4 with an 80in reach
He weighed in at 200 lbs for the LHW bout. So that is his non cutting weight, not big at all for a middleweight. He is very tall with a great reach.I mean Alex is bigger
SO ask the proper question OP
You hand picked the shorted MW's to "prove a point"
he's tall, but hes not heavy
he fought Jan with a big weight disadvantage
He's 6'4" 185 lbs with over 80 inch reach. It's crazy that people argue for some reason that he isn't a big MW or that he barely cuts to make 185.
He's a huge MW.
Too many people here think height and reach are a magical, no skill, unfair advantage.
Reality is the opposite. Most tall lanky athletes will struggle in MMA as they get bullied by stalky powerful grapplers and are given no room to use those aspects.
Cyrille Diabate had some of the best pure striking at LHW but because he did not have the other elite skills to keep the grapplers off him and he had to fear the td so much that he could not unleash his striking game, he was not elite or champ in MMA. His magical height and reach did not just gift him wins.
People like Jones, Anderson, Adesanya win because they have these massive high lever skills in the other areas of MMA that allow them to mostly neutralize the much more physically strong grapplers and keep space, and that is a elite skill. Keeping a top grappler from being able to control you is elite. And it is then and only then that the advantages of length and reach become a big advantage. Because just like a dominant grappler can bully someone like Cyrille if he cannot fend off the grappling, a dominant striker can then beat up grapplers if they cannot impose their grappling game.
