International House Speaker Mike Johnson Breaks With Trump, Calls Putin a ‘Threat to America,’ Warns of New Axis Forming on President’s Watch

Why wouldn’t the country that controls nato spend the most?

America influences nato the most and uses those countries as soft power/global influence to keep countries like Russia in check. Now you guys also want them to pay more?

This is crazy talk. It’s actually baffling that you guys are even suggesting this lol.
I never said the US shouldn’t spend the most. I was talking about the NATO members that don’t meet their minimum % of gdp obligation on defense spending

Thanks. Makes me like him even more, guy is fighting for his country against an invader. Fuck Russia and fuck Trump and Vance for being cucks to Putin and slapping tariffs on all of our allies. Yeah sorry this will age badly and people will. E embarrass of this clown in the future

I'll put you down for Pro-WW3.

With the new development suggested by the Prime Minister of British boots on the ground and Europe seizing Russian $ to pay for the war... I see nothing but escalation from Russia as well. I wish Europe best of luck with their war.

I know basic math is hard when you're the type of person for whom millions, billions, and trillions are all interchangeable terms because you're just trying to stir outrage and think anything with "illions" after it makes that stick for you. But yes, $27 billion is f*ckin peanuts for a Country our size...but more importantly it's a fraction of the total value we have given Ukraine over all, revealing that your "blank checks" contention is horsesh*t.
Oh really, it's not trillions? Derp. This is why you wash jock straps for a living and your party got blown the fuck out. What kind of stupid asshole thinks "derp, well it's not trillions, so any amount under that is free to light on fire"?

I hope you run for office taking every goddamn moron position you do on here so your party will never win another election.

Considering Putin now has America, the largest contributor to the Ukraine war effort and NATO, in his back pocket.. I'd say it's pretty clear why the world fears further Russian aggression.
In his back pocket? Do you really believe that? Lol and if so do you use reddit? Just curious.

I don’t use Reddit, no.

And yes - literally everything Trump has done since he’s been elected, as far as the war in Ukraine, has been beneficial to Russia.

They are already looking at sanction relief for the oligarchs lol

The Kremlin themselves has said Washington now aligns with them.

Wake up.

I agree their goals for the Ukraine war mostly align but being in Putins back pocket implies much more than that. If you were exaggerating to be funny my bad hard to pick up in text.

Maybe if Democrats quit putting out dreadful shit tier candidates, then yes.

This is the Trump everyone voted for. And if we had an election now vs. Kamala he would win by an even larger margin.

But if you can find a non retarded candidate that actually accomplished something in their life outside of being a DEI pick, they would landslide win vs. Trump.
Harris was a poor candidate, but I think it ain't the trump all the federal employees, centrist Republicans and Latinos voted for, after Donnie's first month he would lose a rerun of the election..buckle up boys, only 3 years and 11 months to go!

Over 20% I believe.
edit-
22% and thats out of 32 countries who are members.
It's lower at 16 percent now but it doesn't matter. I am assuming you want America first. That 500-600 million a year is unacceptable to you?

I'm not even exaggerating in the slightest when I say that I've done state level audits twice the size of the amount of money weve given to Ukraine. These people have no sense of scope lol.

Europe may as well just let Russia have East Germany back too. I'm sure the conservatives that are in charge now don't mind. In fact just let Russia work from Ukraine on over to all of their former Eastern Europe satellites.

I addressed that, at the end of Trumps first term he renegotiated NATO funding, prior to that we were paying 26%.
I don't understand the America first bit but yeah, I don't think there's much point in us being in NATO. Canada, US and Mexico could probably work something out for our own defense and we could still defend our allies as needed without sending NATO so much money to chastise us and ignore us and spend our money how they will. This Ukraine thing has shown that we really don't align with NATO in some ways.

500-600 Million/year could do a lot for us here.

Russia is the one that escalated first and has done absolutely nothing to de-escalete.

Fair enough. What do you feel about the 3.8 billion dollars per year for Israel, 1.5 billion each for Jordan+Egyptian?
I can't speak on Jordan/Egypt but we have a relationship with Israel going back nearly a century, one that benefits us all. They're trade partners and important to us if we wish to maintain a presence in the mid east.

The who started it argument never goes well. With Ukraine using drones to hit a Russian Refinery deep inside Russia today and the UK promising boots on the ground and to steal Russian BILLION$ in international banks to fund the war, well.... I hope they beat Russia, but highly doubt it. They are more likely to start WW3.

We don't have a relationship with Europe? We don't trade with them? Total goods traded between US and EU is about 970 billion dollars last year. Elaborate a little more on how Europe's interest is different from the US now? What special benefits do we get from Israel? How many bases do we have there? Do they back us up in any military conflicts?

We have more than 40 military bases in Europe. NATO sent troops for Afghanistan. NATO also backed us in Libya, Iraq and even far away as Somalia. We seem to be able to have a presence in the Middle East just fine. We have roughly 15-20 bases located in Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.

The relationship seems to be a one way street lately.

We have longer histories with all of our other allies but you're cool with just shitting on them.

And our relationship with Israel isn't?

If anything Europe should drop us as an ally anyway. They've been suckered into going along with all our destabilizing the middle east, and ended up with a majority of the refugees.
