I thought that the fight was close. much closer than the UFC crew (& the judges) seemed to think.

I don't see any evidence that a bad attitude or general arrogance caused JJ to lose again. While I don't think that she should have talked about the first fight weight cut so much, she took matters into her own hands and seemed physically prepared for the fight last night.

She just lost to somebody who apparently is better than her at MMA.

But yeah. She is 30 and has lost 2 in a row. History would indicate that she is unlikely to be a dominant champ again.

I think they hit the nail on the head during the commentary. I think JJ and her team put her first lost all on the weight cut and didn't change her game plan one bit. By the end of the second round JJ was starting to realize Rose was the real deal and it wasn't all to blame on the weight cut. They stuck with the game plan and it never came together.

Rose took her soul when she made her tap out and last night she buried her.

She could have easily won that fight if she came in with a Matt Brown-ish game plan. Rough up Rose with her far-superior physical strength in the clinch and attack her with low kicks at distance.

Ultimately either her team is incompetent, or she wanted to prove she could outbox Rose. Either way that's the product of that shitty game-plan.

I don't think JJ has lost it, she just met somebody who is better. Unlike Rhonda, who came back after her first loss and got destroyed, JJ put up a hell of a fight. Rose is just better than her. I heard JJ wants to fight at a heavier weight, so maybe she can be the best in another division. I hope she isn't finished, she is a fun fighter to watch.

... she did something completely different but Rose did exactly the same thing. But that probably would not have happened. If Joanna changed tactics, there is a good chance Rose would change up also.

Finished?!? No. She came back after getting TKO'd and lost a very close decision. Rose has just improved that much and is a good matchup against Joanna. It is very possible Joanna gets the title back from someone else. Will be very interesting to see how a Rose vs Andrade or Rose vs Karolina 2 fight goes.
