Holy double standard Batman - Silva vs Diaz

If they let him go knowing he would fight somewhere else it would look bad on them in the commissions eyes. There are rules and he broke them. I don't get why everyone gets hurt feelers for people that do the wrong thing.

Also, IF they were to do it for him there would be all kinds of different ways people would try to get out of a contract.

Please explain that part to me.

Can some other poster read that as well so I know I am not hallucinating ?

Wanderlei avoids a single drug test, gets hit with a lifetime ban by the comission, then is immediately crucified by almost everyone on here.

Nick Diaz test positive for a banned substance (doesn't matter how stupid you think it is for pot to be banned, so is asprin) for the third time, gets a 5 year suspension, and everyone and their mother is white knighting him.

How is it that a multi time offender is getting so much backing while a true legend of the sport was vilified and everyone is perfectly fine with him having his right to fight taken away for life.

Wand was way better to the fans and for the sport in general than Nick but Diaz drops F bombs and talks shit in the cage.

You do have a point.

Let's try another way.

If you were having a party and people were drinking you are responsible for them. If they leave the house and get in a wreck you could be charged. If you pick someone up on release and they get into trouble you could be accountable for them. If you employ someone and they cause damage or steal something the company is at fault as well.

The UFC is a business. They are under the athletic departments. If they employ someone (in this case Diaz, Wandy and Cung Le) and said fighter is suspended and then the UFC is like well, I will just let him go elsewhere and it will be fine for them. The athletic department in future cases could see that a UFC fighter was suspended and released so he could still fight. That wouldn't look good or maybe it is just me.

Without the athletic commissions MMA is right back in the dark era again.

Maybe if one of the fighters retired and then was let go down the road in a year or so and then they decided to fight somewhere it wouldn't be so bad but to just release someone so they could ignore the athletic commissions orders would be a trainwreck. You can't say the athletic departments don't have a huge ego and aren't grudge holders.

Cung Le on the other hand isn't under restrictions and they get along with Coker so if they cut him loose to have a retirement fight under Bellator would be a pretty cool move.

No matter what, the commission is corrupt and full of worthless human beings that shouldn't have a say on anything.

Caffeine is also on the banned substance list..

And did you not make a thread about stop posting in the HW?
You should honor that.

REALLY? For in-competion?

OT: I didn't really say that I would not post here. I just said that there was probably no reason for me to do so as I was going to not watch Zuffa events any longer. I changed my mind on that and decided to simply not pay them or support them in any other way.

First of all, the very fact your comparing Weed to Ped's discredits your entire position.

2nd of all Wand is a Legend int he roiding community, as a MMA fan I find his career to be seriously lacking.

Maybe its the Saku fan in me but awhile ago I rewatched those 3 fights, and I was livid and I mean livid at Wanderlei by the end of the 3rd fight. Watching it knowing he was roided to the gills.

Fuck me, getting worked up even thinking about it.

Everyone was juicing in pride get over it. And with all these low t levels we see on 90% of the test most are still juicing.

Completely different situations. Nick didn't took steroids and didn't run from the backdoor.
